The Mages of Arcanus are an order consisting of the cloth-wrapped native species of Arcanus, created to uphold the study and use of Arcane magic for the Arcane City's protection and improvement. They learn highly advanced arcane magic from ancient tomes, studying almost from birth to fulfill their role in society. The order is led by one known simply as The Archmage, one chosen among the strongest of the order.

As part of the Galactic Systems Union their mages hold a sparse yet important role on the battlefield. Spreading themselves equally among the Union ranks, they provide artillery support with their spells, as well as quick protection in the form of magic shields should they be required.
