History
The LSM Station was not supposed to go into construction into late in the next year. Its production was rushed as the ship 'The Apocalypse' re-entered the system while broadcasting threats non-stop. Even though the station was rushed it's still extremely powerful but lacking the commodities that were common among other ships. The LSM Station is the Scelforians last hope and has dense armor and powerful minds to run the station itself. The station has a total of 4 hangars holding 9 fighters each. They also can hold some ground troops and its currently protected by a regiment of marines. {Further Information Such As; BluePrints, Weapon Staches, and Resource Depots are in Archive AT 331 of SuperComputer Maximus.}
Description
The station itself has 4 side wings with the main gun and engines/fuel in the middle, along with that the command disk sits on top of all of it with the main area surrounding the guns. There are 4 wings each dedicated to something else. The North Wing deals with the production and storage of food and also contains the large industrial kitchens, some sleeping areas, and the massive dining hall. The West Wing deals with the aiming of the weapons and the armory and more of the sleeping quarters. The South Wing deals with everything from civilian affairs, to keep the peace on the station. The South Wing is also where the prison and some of the policing force reside. Finally, the East Wing is where all of the living quarters and comfort areas are. The main pod of the station is where the large engines and fuel storages reside along with all the necessary maintenance rooms. It's here where the large MAC guns sit waiting to be fired. The ammo sits at the end of the barrel with each round weighing around 4-5 tons. The mechanical arm nicknamed 'The Arm of Death' picks the ammo up and loads it in for the shots. Last by not least is the Bridge Disk where all of the station is monitored as well as the Bridge Crew's quarters are. This is the most vital portion of the ship but each wing can run independently if the bridge is destroyed. Its also where the ship prototype shields are kept and where the gun fires from. The gun makes little to no sound but a slight echo throughout the bridge and the light emitted is dimmed by the large windows that cancel out the large amounts of light. How the large object can move so fast is the many magnets that line the entire barrel. There are around 50 5 foot long magnets down the entire barrel which speeds it up to massive speeds. The Station requires a standing crew of 3 Bridge Commanders, 20 Bridge Officers, 20 more Bridge Operators, and 200 standing maintenance. |
