History
Laura was born on a new moon and raised with her elven grandparents, who disowned her mother after she bedded with a cursed human. She didn't know her origin until she was fourteen and from then on she tried her best to be the top student and the best she could be. She didn't want to be looked down upon for her mother's mistakes.
She went to a religious military school for boys and girls, but there were only fifty girls out of one hundred and fifty students. She was the third best out of all the students, the other two being heavyset and clever young men.
Her father was cursed after killing an angel with the ability to burn the body of any impure soul who looked him in the eyes. Since she was just born when she looked, Laura wasn't cursed but blessed with the ability to detect auras and see different things in the light. She can also see a wider range of colors and sometimes she thinks she can glimpse the past and the future. She remembers everything in vivid detail, even her dreams, nightmares, and small events.
