Habitable: Within Goldilocks zone, but its atmosphere composition has a higher percentage of carbon dioxide and xenon which would require exo-suits to be worn for humans. Thus the planet remains unexplored or civilised by any galactic race.

Terrain: Taren is a seemingly beautiful planet consisting of open grass plains. But something hidden dwells within the planet, something old and and powerful, its magic is scouring the plains into grey wastelands.

Size: Medium ~7000 km diameter

Native population: On land there is a grass lands ecosystem with exotic plains-fauna, though the recent scouring of the lands has reduced habitats and killed off many species. Within the oceans there are creatures that range to the size of small islands.

History: The first, and one of the few surveys of the planet was conducted by a UNSC probe (160-DS-17LY), note the same probe that found Elipso. The probe conducted atmospheric measurement as well as cataloguing basic terrain information and ecosystem. The solar system was soon deleted from UNSC galactic catalogue by rebel UNSC scientists that later founded Elipso.

Other information: The recently the planet has been seen with grey wastelands spreading over the terrain, the cause of this is unknown.
