Type:Energy-Based Rail Rifle.
Ammo:Superheated plasma generated by a energy cell.
Rarity:Uncommon
         


Strengths:

  • Accurate and powerful shots able to pierce most metals under titanium,
  • Limited recoil
  • The barrels can be adjusted to fuze into one single barrel which concentrates the plasma energy into a tiny yet powerful beam to be used as an bayonet for close quarters combat or as a welding/cutting tool.





Weaknesses:The length of the barrel makes it extremely hard to fire while moving thus the user needs to be stationary whilst firing,plasma shots are weak against shields,small magazine size as the cells only allow 5 shots before needing to reload.In its "bayonet" mode the weapon is unable to fire.




Description:The first rail-rifles came into service during the "Great War" and was used extensively by the Serpentum Confederacy which was the predecessor to the Imperium.The rifle was designed to allow infantry to pierce the powerful machine armies they faced.The Imperium later improved the design to reduce it's ineffectiveness in melee situations.

The Varanus deploy this weapon frequently alongside their troops with tactics and formations mirroring 18th century line warfare.

Revamp edit complete changes include:

Changed description.
Added use as a cutting/welding tool.
