I don't speak for everyone.  Let me make that abundantly clear.  There may be a grumpy old curmudgeon creeping around on the forum when he's not hiding under a rock.  For just about everybody else on the forum I can say we welcome you and we're glad that you found us.  Inexperienced or not we're waiting to see what you can wow us with.  Fear not if you are not a wordsmith of the tenth degree, most of us are not.  Most, if not all of us, come here for an outlet from our mundane lives and as an outlet the forum works wonderfully.  Welcome and I look forward to reading what you have to write.

P.S That old curmudgeon sounds a lot like me.

I didn't expect all these friendly greetings when I first posted the thread! Thank you so much!

You're very welcome.  Now to get you going.  Have you looked over charecter creation yet? If you have any questions about it feel free to ask.  Or you can always take a glimpse at what some of the other resident's characters are.  If you haven't figured it out most of us have links to our character's so it's easy to navigate to them.

I've actually been working on making on my species at the moment, called the tanuki, and their planet of Kan'in. I have a character in the works that is a tanuki, so I wanted to work on their lore.

Sounds like a plan to me! As you should be able to see there are areas for species and planet creation.  Simple temptates are posted for both.  Have to say I'm a bit curious as I can't decide if your avatar looks more feline or canine in appearance.

Just read your planet / species and I have to say I'm impressed.  If the writing I  saw was a glimpse into your writing talent I'm looking forward to reading more....

Yeah, they are actually based on the youkai from Japanese mythology. Not entirely though, for reasons.
