Strengths:

• Being a race higher than mortals and subservient only to Celestials, Eternals are extremely powerful beings.
  
• Above superhuman strength, speed, reflexes, durability and endurance.
  
• In addition to their incredible physical capabilities, Eternals possess a huge, undefined range of powers either based on cosmic energy, magic or both.
  
• Eternals possess higher levels of intelligence and detailed knowledge on various subjects known and unknown to mortals.
  
• A wide range of senses that allow them to see or notice things people normally wouldn’t. For example, an Eternal would be able to tell if a supernatural entered the room, or sense if someone were afflicted with illness.
  
• They are able to perceive reality in more than just three dimensions - as such they can see what mortals can not see. In particular, other beings that exist in these higher dimensions that would normally be impossible to see by mortals. They can also access and manifest themselves in these dimensions.
  
• They can in effect, teleport. This is done by accessing their realm via self-generated portal. From there, they can portal to any location desired. This process can take place within the span of a few seconds.
  
• Shapeshifting.
  
• Limited telekinesis.
  
• Telepathy can be performed but only through physical contact. However, every member of the Eternal species remain in constant telepathic connection with each other. This telepathic connection is effectively used as a “radio” of sorts and can be accessed almost anywhere in the universe.
  
• Eternals are immune to different elements such as fire and water. They are also completely unaffected by the vacuum of space.
  

Weaknesses

• Eternals are nigh-invulnerable to firearm-based attacks with a few exceptions being very high-powered weaponry. Examples of these include laser cannons, mass accelerators, plasma cannons and explosives. These weapons should be extremely effective against armoured targets for them to even hurt an Eternal.
  
• Weapons that powered by magic are more likely to do damage to Eternals.
  
• Weapons that are powered by cosmic energy are even more likely to do damage to Eternals.
  
• Their presence and power can be sensed by supernaturals that possess the ability to do so, even if they have taken the form of a normal mortal.
  

Description
Eternals appear to mortals as heavily built, winged humanoids. Their wings differ and vary in size and appearance. Some may possess wings that take on a silvery metallic appearance while others may appear to have glowing wings composed of energy.

The clothing worn by Eternals resemble an amalgamation between a full body armour and some cloth integrated into it to give the armour a slightly ornamental appearance. The are essentially faceless and all that can be seen under their hoods is darkness. This armour is actually part of their biology and in essence, it is them.

Male and Female Eternals are very similar in appearance with only a few features of gender dimorphism. Females are naturally more slender and their armour is slightly more feminine in appearance.

In terms of weaponry, Eternals seem to exclusively wield melee weapons such as swords, axes, daggers, etc. Ranged attacks are mostly energy based and of different nature. This manipulation of energy can be used to form different objects based on the intended use, such as shields for example.

Their habitat, the Glow, is a multi-dimensional plane powered by pure cosmic energy. These dimensions can not be perceived by mortals and their brains would normally fill the void with complete darkness. However the Eternals themselves have fashioned their home in such a way that the Glow appears to them as a heavenly landscape - a vast garden of colourful flowers, trees and grass. The sky is an overwhelming expanse of bright white light where Eternals seem to travel to and from.

Eternals possess little to no emotion but personalities can be quite defined through their dialogue. They are also susceptible to corruption and there have been known Eternals in the past that were evil in nature.



Culture
Eternals are extremely neutral in their alignment. They are subservient to Celestials, and act as intermediaries between them and the mortal realm. While Celestials rarely ever involve themselves in the matters of the mortal realm and instead prefer to stay in the Cosmic and Celestial planes.

They are unquestioningly obedient to their respective Celestials. However as stated before, they are susceptible to corruption. This means that Eternals made by corrupt Celestials will be obedient to them and in essence, also become corrupt.

There is also a very simple hierarchy among the Eternals. Rankings are listed as follows:

• Warrior: Eternal Warriors are the lowest class of Eternals. They are known to interact the most with mortals out of all three ranks and are the lowest in power. They receive specific commands are orders directly from Ultras and if the circumstances are extreme enough, entire groups of Warriors may be lead by one Ultra to complete a task in the mortal realm. Each Warrior is highly trained in combat and knowledgeable in battlefield tactics and are capable of using their advanced physiology and powers to great effect.
  
• Ultra: Eternal Ultras are far more powerful than their Warrior subordinates. They are promoted to this higher level of power by Primes when they have reached a certain level of experience in the field. They only interact with mortals when the situation is very dire, however these circumstances are rare and they instead prefer to reside in the Glow and give orders from there. They receive instructions directly from Eternal Primes and are therefore in charge of organising and dispatching Warriors to complete these missions. In combat, Eternal Ultras are extremely terrifying and far more lethal than the already dangerous Warriors. If they appear in the mortal realm, one should assume that there are Eternal Warriors nearby as well as they are known to lead entire groups of them into battle.
  
• Prime: Eternal Primes are the highest among the Eternal race. They are hand-picked to be in this position by Celestials themselves, after careful consideration. As such, they are very few in number. With their promotion, they are given a plethora of new powers inaccessible even to Eternal Ultras. They communicate directly with their Celestial masters and receive instructions from them, which they relay to the Ultras who then dispatch troops accordingly. Primes are by far the most powerful and experienced of all Eternals but much like the Ultras, they rarely ever leave their realm, the Glow.
  

History
The Eternals were created by the Celestials to act as their heralds in the mortal realm. The Celestials created the Glow - a multidimensional realm to act as a habitat for the Eternals. The Glow exists across the entirely of space and can be accessed from anywhere via self-generated portals. From the Glow, almost any location in the universe is accessible to them unless blocked off by a higher power.

Eternals have existed for eons and were created shortly after the Celestials emerged at the time of the universe’s infancy. Eternals regularly acted as mediators between the Celestials and the mortal realm and offered aid in keeping peace in each and every galaxy spanning the entire universe.

Several billion years before the present, a great war broke out and chaos spread across the entire universe. A rogue Celestial, who came to be known by many names, the most prominent of which was “Legion”, waged war against all of his Celestial brethren and the very fabric of reality with the aim to destroy it all. He firmly believed that the entire Multiverse should be destroyed completely and that eternal nothingness should be the only thing to remain. Legion’s idea of peace was to become the center of the infinite expanse of emptiness where he would finally rest for all eternity.

Legion’s alarming conquest quickly caught the attention of the entire Celestial and Cosmic Realms, who in turn called the every Eternal resident of the Glow into action. While the Celestials engaged Legion head-on, leading armies of Eternals to clash against Legion’s armies of corrupted life, a small number of Eternals organised a meeting with several thousand species in the universe that had achieved a high technological status. Among these factions, The First were notably present.

Only after consolidating with these factions and leading them against Legion’s insane quest for destruction for several million years, did the Celestials and Eternals successfully defeat the corrupt Celestial and lock him away in a dimension outside of the Multiverse. Shortly thereafter, the universe began to rebuild and eventually, signs of the conflict were either erased or forgotten about completely as newer species emerged, oblivious to the horrifying conflict that had taken place. The Eternals continued to act as mediators between the Celestials and the mortal realm while the Celestials themselves retreated to the Celestial and Cosmic planes to rebuild the damages that had been done.
