Ipsimon was a hub of activity for the Tsukam'akai, as one of the three of the foundation worlds the Tsukam'akai currently had control over it was the one most developed in the more military aspects of the Tsukam'akai. Small though the military arm of the empire was it definitely existed, they needed a way to defend themselves from the lesser races and protect all of the advancements that they'd already made within this universe. As much as they may dislike the idea of fighting, purely because it distracted from the time that they could instead spend researching, developing and advancing themselves, there were definitely situations where fighting was by far the better path than simply lying down and taking what was coming.

Ipsimon already had large matter engines floating above the surface of the planet, and many workshops dedicated to the construction of the various ships that formed up the orbital fleet of the Tsukam'akai. Both above and below the ground were the many research and development stations occupied by the many Malloc on the planet that were focussed on developing new technologies and machinery that would make their own fighting force far more formidable both in attack and defence.

The current main project of the Tsukam'akai was jamming technologies, they'd be invaluable on a battlefield in restricting the flow of information that an enemy would have. If you could jam an enemy's scanners they'd have no idea of what targets to strike at nor capability to communicate with other members of their fleet. If they couldn't communicate and coordinate then they could be picked off one by one and victory would be that much easier. Already using the technology on a few bands of roving space pirates they'd defeated several small fleets and gained themselves a rather small pool of Gemen to begin rebuilding the stock.

Initially, the jamming was limited only to the very most basic of uses, a single ship within a fleet that would jam all transmissions from the opponents and render their communications void. While it served the basic purpose that they wanted it didn't cover all of the bases they were hoping for, while they were unable to communicate they were still able to use their scanners and such to gain far more information than the Malloc liked before they were destroyed by clan Menra. From there further developments were made to the jamming technologies in order to broaden what they were capable of and make them far more deadly for anyone that would see Ipsimon as a potential prize planet to be raided or invaded.

Learning from their last error the next part to be added to the jamming was the ability to remove the enemies capability to scan within the jamming radius, effectively knocking out their ability to detect targets and gain more knowledge than what they could see with their eyes or figure out through guesswork. It would be essential in ensuring that enemies couldn't target specific key points or structures that would cause more damage to the fleet or planets of the Tsukam'akai. Removing an enemies capability to know where to strike and how would greatly lessen the amount of damage they could deal, at least in the eyes of the Malloc that was so, whether it would be proven true in proper battle was another matter entirely.

The first step was to implant jamming spires into Ipsimon itself, creating a permanent jamming field around the planet that would block any sensors and/or communications from any ship not belonging to the Tsukam'akai. it would be far more efficient than simply stationing ships as well as be far more permanent and requiring a lot more time and effort for someone to remove their jamming capabilities then. Of course, while the jamming spires were the primary point of jamming across the planet there were also jamming ships scattered about the planet that would reinforce the signal as well as be able to take over as primary jammers should the jamming spires be disabled or destroyed by an invader. Once placed in they went through rigorous testing and every inch of the planet was scoured using captured ships of lesser beings to ensure there were no holes in the jamming signal. All frequencies were tested and all types of scanning the Tsukam'akai could currently use as well as those that any of the lesser species ships they currently had could use as well as all forms of communication were utilised in various different ways likely beyond even what their creators had expected to ensure that the jamming signals were working in all ways intended for all they'd encountered thus far.

Once the spires and prototype ships were distributed across the planet the technology was spread further, sent on cargo ships to Tsuka and Taren also and implemented in the same ways there. Just as rigorously tested and backed up with jamming ships as it was on Ipsimon, it was technology that would prove very useful for the whole empire and so was implemented throughout it.

The next step was refining the technologies used to jam, currently, only the smaller scout ships fitted with jamming were able to do it with any sort of mobility and they couldn't fly all that far away from the larger carriers or from whatever body they were refuelling from with their limited flight time. A larger vessel would be needed in order to transmit a jamming signal across a much larger area and with far more strength. The way things were currently it wouldn't  be terribly difficult for any of the lesser beings to interrupt their own jamming signal or destroy it's source should they have the correct technology available or even an inkling of what it was and where it was coming from. The answer that came to clan Menra was to build bigger, tougher ships that would be far stronger and even if they were determined to be the source of the jamming they'd be far harder to destroy and thus their jamming capabilities should be fine.

This of course then required far more work from the Malloc making those ships, it required far more work on the basis of a matter engine capable of powering such a ship. This in itself took the Malloc far longer than they would have liked, parts had to be brought from Taren along with several Malloc capable of wielding magical energy for some of the works. Other materials had to be brought from Tsuka as well as several machines to improve the process and make it far easier. While the work, in the end, took place on Ipsimon it was a collective effort made possible only by the advances of the other two planets within the budding empire and their own areas of focus for their development

Next up on their list was a more practical application of the mobile jamming ships. A small fleet was assembled, something more along the lines of an expeditionary force than anything with any serious military power. Just a few V1 Long-Range Carrier's each filled to the brim with fighters and surrounded by a small swarm of Scout-Surveillance Vessel's that acted as the outriders and surveillance for the fleet as it flew. Nestled within the centre with a carrier on each compass point sat three large spheres in a triangular formation. Of the three only one was truly complete, the other two still had sections of armour plating missing and weapons systems were only semi-operational, but the Tsukam'akai were fairly confident that at the bare minimum the amount of fighters that had been sent out with the fleet would be enough to create an effective screening for the jamming vessels to retreat under.

Within the whole expedition only five Tsukam were actually present, one in each of the Long-Range Carriers and one in the single fully complete and operational jamming device monitoring it from within. The rest of the fleet was all controlled by only recently perfected remote access systems and ai commands overseen by the onboard Malloc and by the Malloc and Kelleron watching from Ipsimon. The whole expedition was only sent as a chance to gain real operational data from the jamming devices and their performance in a live situation.

It was not long before the purpose was met, it was almost as if the lesser species space pirates saw their large expeditionary fleet swarmed with fighters surrounded by three quite large well equipped ships with three more in the centre and thought they somehow stood a chance. It was almost laughable that the pirates thought they actaully stood a chance against such forces that in comparison were so heavily armed, yet still for some reason they did, it was like they saw the force as a challenge when in reality they provided very little actual challenge, they were almost considerable to a light snack.

Still however the four lightly armed cruisers came barrelling at them at full speed, coordinating and splitting equally to draw the fire of the three foremost Long-Range Carriers and seperate them off from the prize lay at their centre. The Malloc'ar in charge placed in the operational jammer indulged the lesser beings for several minutes, allowing them their futile efforts at causing more than a slight inconvenience to the carriers before the ships began to utilise another strategy. Instead of seperating to fight the carriers all three cruiser's now focussed on the foremost carrier and began to link their firepower against it.

It was then that the weapon was unveiled, the jammer was activated and the three pirates lost all of their communications systems and scanners in one fell swoop. It was almost laughable to see the treble barrages suddenly seize as the crews came to terms with their inability to communicate with one another or scan their surroundings beyond basic visuals. The assault they had begun dissapeared as each of the ships attempted to turn and escape, cowed by their sudden isolation from one another.

Unfortunately for them the Tsukam'akai could not let word of their latest weapon be revealed yet, as the cruisers began to turn each carrier unleashed it's full payload of missiles after the cruisers, and great swarms of fighters were released. Within a few minutes each of the cruisers were rendered inoperable, obliterated into debris that most wouldn't recognise even as having mere minutes ago been a cruiser. It had been overkill, but it was deemed necessary due to the matter of keeping their newest technological advantage secret. The pirate ships couldn't have sent any transmissions and they certainly couldn't now relay the information phyiscally, just to be safe however the debris from each ship was gathered and brought on the return journey to Ipsimon as was the corpses of each cruiser's crew for usage in the creation of more Gemen.

Reports were created and filed by all five Tsukam on scene, each one added to the central archives of the empire, reviewed almost instantly by each of the Tsukam who had taken an interest in their latest weapon of war, which was quite a significant amount of the population of Ipsimon as well as a strong percentage of those on Tsuka and Taren. War was still something that most Tsukam knew as a necessity, they weren't a fan of it but most were alive during the time of the great war that almost brought the empire to it's knees and was aware that the development of weaponry was all that would stop something similar happening again.

The first operational test of the jamming ships had been incredibly successful, it would be an incredible advancement when they did attempt to expand for ensuring they could do so with minimum fuss, by cutting off communications with external forces before they did so it'd be simple for them to cut off reinforcements and seperate forces to take an opponent down chunk by chunk rather than as a whole bite. In truth it was only the first technological advancement of the Tsukam'akai with any practical application in war, it would definitely not be the fast as much more was needed and there was no end to advancement so long as they had Malloc willing to work towards advancement of their defence. For now it was a beginning in making things easier for their own expansion, and expand they would, already more planets were being eyed up for the rebuilding of their empire and their return to supremacy in this universe as they were in the last.

Once the expeditionary force returned it was a simple matter to restore what little damage had been dealt, with only one carrier having taken any sort of significant damage, the rest being essentially untouched and the Jamming spheres having received no damage at all. The remaining two spheres that had been taken out were worked upon once again by Malloc in order to get them to completion, more plating was added to each as well as quite a significant amount of weaponry. The next improvement to the spheres was already planned, but would be unable to be added until this current step was realised.

Several areas of weakness had been noted during the testing, and each were looked at by whole workshops full of Malloc, Kelleron themself was on Ipsimon working on the project alongside the other Malloc, contributing their own quite significant power to the task of improving the efficiency of their current model and increasing the range given by each jammer. It was through Kelleron's own discovery that a way to link each of the spheres to each other in order to make a signal net was discovered, no signal could pass through the net and it had no gaps or holes without removing a jamming sphere to create one. Even were one capable of removing one they'd have to remove several in order to create a proper whole in the jamming net, it increased the signal power and distance several times over if several spheres were linked together and made the system even more formiddable.

Further refined matter engines were placed within each of the craft, able to produce the quite significant amount of power that such a complex jamming system required, allowing them to keep up the jamming screens permenantly should they desire to do so. Further development was required still to reduce the size of the system, if they could reduce the size of it then they could afford to fit other modular systems into the craft also to fit with the future plans. For now however it was just further refining the current jammers into smaller and more energy efficient models in order to gain maximum efficiency from them.

It was the final day of development. Finally the Malloc were happy enough with their current version of the jamming systems that they were willing to put it out of development and use it properly throughout the empire. By the end of the arduous process of working on the jamming system it had gone through several different models and names before reaching the current one. Each model more efficient and with more power than the last until now the one used in their latest jamming ships were capable of reachign the signal power that the Tsukam'akai had been hoping for from the beginning.

It was a much celebrated day when the latest of the empire wide research projects was completed and there was much praise, many Malloc having contributed all of their time to the creation of this latest project, and even now at the completion of the project there were still more even further refining and improving the systems, progress never stops and perfection doesn't exist to the Tsukam'akai, the Malloc could only get better with each attempt and improved version.

The finishing of this project didn't mean that any had stopped, from the moment of completion and unveiling to the rest of the empire the latest systems were being fitted across each of the three planets currently under Tsukam'akai control, and each of the Malloc involved on this project were already moving forwards onto the next project, be that one private or one empire wide as this had been.
