Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) E4cec0a462879f1d48a5d77ebb57c263
Judgement Day
Invasion of Aumia

Demonic Crusade VS Zaegrim Inquisition
Plus Any Allies

Aumia's swamps and mushroom-covered lands sat quietly as they had done for many many years. Nothing was different about this day so far. The fluorescent plant-life still grew in large sizes and numbers, the strange and exotic animals still roamed about their daily lives. There was, as there always had been, peace and quiet on Aumia. Unfortunately though for it's innocent natives that was soon to change. Every faction in the galaxy knew by now the Crusade's movements and intentions. It was clear as day that they would move for Aumia next. In fact Queen Jaya of the Alliance had already called every other faction and listening individual to come in defense. For the first time in this crusade the demons would arrive to resistance.

It did not phase Aboleth. Nothing phased Aboleth. His faith to the cause was unfaltering. He was bound for vengeance. Vengeance for their fallen kin and for Hell. Even though he was not to be present at such a far-reaching attack, he knew the strength of those beneath him would carry certain victory.

Yes, the Horsemen. Finally united in this galaxy. Oh how the Angels had cowered beneath their armies...
As always Aboleth watched from Hades, all the way across the stars to his fleet in approach of Aumia. He did not however know exactly what or who awaited them on the planet...

-----------------------------

Horseman of Pestilence

Objective 2: Stop Pestilence from infecting the World Shroom (Location: Forest)

There was an almost blinding flash of light from the ground of Aumia, the feel of magic was heavy in the air. Once the light had lessened a strange sight was revealed, covering acres and acres of swamp and plant land were troops, not human ones though. Millions of vampires, lycans, and werewolves had suddenly appeared in Aumia seemingly out of no where, armed to the teeth (most quite literally armed with their teeth) with blood lust in there eyes and confidence in their stance. At the front of this newly appeared army stood 5 females, one human, two vampires, one hell hound, and one demon of their very own. Kitty Youngblood, Diana Youngblood, Temperance Brant, Avalon, and Dakora and the lycans, werewolves, and vampires from the pocket dimension had come to lend their aid in the battle of Aumia against the demons.

Invasion#3PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyThu Jan 26, 2017 10:01 pm

A UNSC scouting fleet of two Charon-Class frigates and Three Paris-Class exited slipspace on the edges of the Aumia system. They had originally arrived to make first contact with a new faction they had caught wind of: The Zaegrim Consortium. Apparently a group of demons who claimed to be against the Crusade. The UNSC had their doubts at first, which was why they only sent a small, but fast scouting fleet to carry the diplomats on board. It was clear now that the Zaegrim were against the Crusade. Or more accurately, the Crusade was here to annihilate the Consortium.

"I'm going down." Spartan Luther-A029 said. His voice firm and commanding.

"Spartan, you can't," The captain of the main Paris Frigate, Dawnspear, protested "We have no standing alliance with the Zaegrim Consortium-"

"And we won't ever if we don't help them. Besides, we could come out on positive terms with the Alliance of Kings," Luther snapped back, "I'll go down there myself if I have to, I'm sure NAVCOM would be happy with you if I died."

"Yes Sir, I'll scramble the ODSTs."

Thirty minutes later, Luther and Fireteam Diablo were prepped and ready in drop pods. T minus two minutes to launch. Fireteam Diablo and the ODSTs would clear a landing zone for the main battalion of marines and UNSC vehicles, who would help whatever forces Queen Lanya had managed to summon to the planet.

"Drop pods launching momentarily," The ship's computer said, "Launching in 3... 2... 1..."

There was the loud thunk of Luther's drop pod streaking  out of the launch tube. He noted the rest of his fireteam nearby. Several seconds later, Luther watched the roughly 200 more ODST drop pods launching from the Charon Class Frigates above. The moment the ODST teams landed, the UNSC dropships filled with tanks and marines would follow.

Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) Empty
Invasion#4PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyFri Jan 27, 2017 5:27 pm

The fabric of space above the planet's local territory seemed to bend and shift until a large circular portal of energy appeared, radiating blue cosmic energy. From inside this portal came The Freelancer's ship, blanketed in the cosmic blueness. As it exited the slip-space portal, the blue energy seemed to fade off the ship until it had disappeared completely.

From the bridge, The Freelancer observed the main screen in front of him. The demonic crusade had already commenced the invasion, that much was evident enough. It also seemed that the UNSC's response time was impeccable: a small fleet had already arrived on the edges of the system. The fleet's size led The Freelancer to believe that perhaps the UNSC fleet had arrived for some other purpose. Not that it mattered to him.

The Freelancer had made it clear to others as well as himself before, he had no interest in this conflict. However, with the noticeable involvement of other species in the conflict, he couldn't help but allow himself to feel a hint of paranoia. He was under the impression that the demons' conflict was against humanity alone, but obviously that wasn't the case. The Freelancer had already been wrong about Draetheus and Armageddon before him: both individuals started off with their endeavours seemingly at a small, planetary scale before he realised the true nature of their plans.
Perhaps such was also the case with the crusade.

His decision was made. The ship suddenly accelerated towards the planet, its cloaking device activating which concealed the ship's appearance and energy signature. If there was any chance of there being ground resistance against the demons, he was going to be part of it.

Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) Empty
Invasion#5PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyFri Jan 27, 2017 9:35 pm

a strange, creepy looking young woman in with a dark blue jacket and hood walks up, she has a peculiar gun hanging from her back and it seems like a mixture of a large submachine mixed with nine barrels and a trigger mechanism wich winds up the barrel allowing it to match the fire rate of a gatling gun, but due to its size, much more practical and easy to use but just as lethal she replaced the simple clip with a feeder belt that leads to a large backpack on her back.

she looked over the the camps setting up a garrison to stock up war supply, keya was here alone and while her mission was to end slavery wich she knew and agreed to, it was a cause she was willing to die for, but she was far too skilled for that since running and gunning with a portable chaingun made her a fearsome opponent since she could spray lead from any angle...though ending slavery wasnt her only reason to be her, it's been a while since she last killed someone and she needed more blood to satisfy the voices in her head, they screamed yelled and scholded her if she didnt spill blood in time and it was getting unbearable, she needed to kill and fast.

as she walked over to the camps she could see the frontline already busy with making spoils of war, it made her smile a little bit, thoughts flew through her head of the kind smile of the princess who she captured and did horrible things too, some she fondly remembers others she horribly regrets as she still showed her mercy when she was dangling on a silk wire and her hand reached down to help her, but the walk was too short to contemplate the entire predicament as she reaches the camp faster then she though she would.

she wandered around the camp looking for someone official, after a few minutes of wandering she found someone willing to pay her for her expertise and she was quickly assigned to a mission, she always found it interesting that people would hire mercs based on their bodycount while sentences were judged by a bodycount, her murder victims were counted as enemies killed in her eyes, wich is why she does not regret causing harm to them, upon arriving on the battlefield the voices are going insane, instinctively she charges up her gun and keeps her finger on the trigger, eager to charge onto the battlefield.

Invasion#6PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyFri Jan 27, 2017 11:56 pm

“I’ve always wondered what demon blood feels like,” the voices mused as the seraphim landed on Aumia.

Braakk agreed, of course, but he was more concerned about how the other lower species would feel about the dominant Seraphim on the battlefield with them. Understandably, they always seemed frightened of their powerful stature. He and the Ma’qwa had gathered up ar many other Seraphim they could, hoping to obtain some powerful demon tech. They ended up having 2 frigates 50 dropships, 30 hoverbikes and 30 tanks, as well as 2000 Seraphim on board their dropships. Even still, they wouldn’t be able to take the demon tech if their soon-to-be allies began firing at them.

The Seraphim warriors filed out of their dropships on the planet’s strange surface, readying their weapons and getting in their vehicles as the ships took off, preparing for any aerial combat necessary.

“Braakk?” the voices called. Braakk had forgotten to answer.

“My apologies,” Braakk responded aloud, “my lackeys needed a bit of attention from someone competent. If we win this, we need a mind for leadership like us.”

Braakk looked to the sky and for the first time in days, he chuckled. “This is gonna be a good bounty,” he said to the voices, trying to reassure himself as well.

He and the voices prepared what little diplomacy they had and walked on his own to where he knew the other armies were.

Invasion#7PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptySat Jan 28, 2017 11:32 am

The Alliance had arrived days before to prepare their defenses. Camps, outposts and frontline battlements were set up ready for the invasion. Their fleet comprised of 3 Archangel-Class Battleships and 8 Veil-Class Battleships orbited in a defensive formation around the planet. Meanwhile on the ground the bulk of the Alliance's offensive army stood ready. From Elven archers and Dwarven warriors to the Mages of Arcanus, they all stood ready behind Jaya who was outfitted with her royal battle armour that gleamed in the flickers of sunlight penetrating the soon to be battlefield.

To their west they noticed the Vampires and Lycans led by her mother, Kitty, and gave a respectful nod to their presence. From the east their came a strange creature the likes of which Jaya had never seen before. Despite it's unfamiliarity she ordered her troops to allow it to pass, greeting it with a smile.
"Another ally against the Demons? All are welcome." She made it clear; today was about everyone standing against the Crusade.

Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) Empty
Invasion#8PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptySat Jan 28, 2017 11:40 am

In the darkness of space red light appeared, the forewarning of an incoming demonic force. From these portals shot out the Crusade's fleet, it's Var'ish Cruisers wasting no time heading for the surface to deploy their troops. Meanwhile the rest of the fleet encompassed them in a defense circle, raising their shields and defenses to make it nigh impossible to disrupt the landing of their deployment ships.

By the time they breached the clouds everyone on-planet was well aware of their presence, standing ready against them. Nine of the Vari'ish Cruisers headed for the battlefield to meet their enemy, cruising slowly over the opposite side of the land as they beamed down a variety of soldiers. Demons large and small, just under half of them Riftspawn, along with several Chosen spread throughout their ranks as support. At their head stood the most menacing figure atop a flaming steed; War.

Once fully deployed in their hundreds of thousands they wasted no time charging forward, weapons and claws raised as they bolted full-speed into the enemy lines. After moving forward the space behind them became free for more deploying forces, creating a conveyor belt of dropping soldiers.

Meanwhile across the planet a smaller army made it's move. This small force was headed by Pestilence. He planned to infect the natural life of the planet whilst the main armies were distracted, claiming victory from afar.

Objective 1: Defeat War and his Demonic Forces (Location: Battlefield)
Objective 2: Stop Pestilence from infecting the World Shroom (Location: Forest)
Optional: Face the Demonic Fleet in orbit (Location: Space)
Also: Create your own objectives, win the battle however you please.

Objective 2

Kitty turned around, facing the vampiric half of the army she brought. "A hundred of you with me!" She called out and received a salute, a hundred vampires breaking off to stand in front of her. Kitty glanced to her sister, then jerked her head in the direction of Jaya. Diana didn't have to hear Kitty say it to know what she meant, 'Protect Jaya'. Then once Diana got her message Kitty turned, Dakora following after her as she broke it in a run towards the World Shroom. The army followed after her, surprisingly light on their feet and just as quick as her, they made their way to the Shroom quickly. Kitty directed her small army, telling them to spread out but not too far that they couldn't easily be aided by small groups. They were prepared.

Objective 1
Meanwhile Diana turned to the rest of the vampire and lycan army, raising her arm and letting out a cry before turning and beginning to run forward towards the demons, a war cry falling from her lips. Avalon jumped into the air as she ran, transforming into a hell hound mid jump, Temperance was ready for this and jumped on Avalon's leg, climbing up so she could sit on her back. From this position she didn't have to melee fight, instead firing off bolts of electricity at demons as Avalon let loose a hose of Hell Fire from her jaws.

Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) Empty
Invasion#11PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyMon Jan 30, 2017 1:44 am

Objective 1

Luther's drop pod slammed into the planet with a resounding thud. The pods of his fireteam followed moments later. The panels popped off and the Spartans wasted no time in grabbing their weapons and jumping out in preparation for the oncoming horde of Demons.

"Spartan Smith," Luther ordered, "Get onto the ridge behind us and provide sniper support."

Luther turned to face the oncoming horde of demons. The spartan motioned for his remaining two spartans, Green and Meriwether, to enter close formation as they waited for the armies of orcs to get closer and closer. He pulled a grenade off his belt.

Moments later, hundreds more drop pods screeched down from the sky and slammed into the ground. Luther tossed his grenade into the horde and gave the order to fire. The Demonic battlecries were subsequently drowned out by UNSC gunfire. The pops of guns and bangs of grenades filled the air as The Spartans and their ODST's ripped through the Demon hordes.

"We hold this position until the fleet lands support on the ridge behind us," Luther shouted through comms, "Find defensive positions and hold them."

The pattern of gunfire changed. It became more sparse and tactical. The ODSTs and Spartans were no longer so concerned with with killing as they were defending the ridge.

Optional Objective:

In space, the five UNSC ships had released a distress signal: UNSC task ships under attack by a massive Demon fleet. The nearest UNSC fleet popped out of slipspace in perfect formation. The fleet consisted of one Athena Class Command Cuiser, two Orion Class Carriers, eight Halberd Class Destroyers, and Ten Strident Class heavy frigates. Their MAC cannons already charged. The ships joined up with the three Paris Class frigates and two Charon Class frigates who had just started deploying troops the surface. The Orion Frigates immediately began deploying dozens of wings of Sabre Class fighters, each wing consisted of five fighters.

The UNSC fleet awaited the order to assault the Demons.

Objective 2

The ship was now floating a few hundred meters above the surface of the planet, directly over the demonic horde that was getting ready to attack the Alliance and UNSC. The Freelancer looked around on the large screen that displayed a virtual real-time recreation of the battlefield, analysing enemy movements and keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary.

His optics were caught by movement towards the edge of the map. A smaller army was making its move, but contrary to his assumption they weren't performing flanking manoeuvres, rather they were headed somewhere else. The Freelancer looked back at the main battlefield. Numerous UNSC drop pods had fallen out of the sky, carrying more soldiers. He looked between the human presence, Alliance and the Lycan-Vampire army - a small section of which split off from the main group and seemed to be moving towards the second demonic army.

He wasn't needed here he decided, and instead opted to pursue the second army headed by Pestilence. The ship rotated and fired its thrusters, flying off towards the second army. It arrived just in time for the Freelancer to observe the Vampire-Lycan army making preparations and spreading out across World Shroom. The Freelancer had his ship lowered so that he were maybe a skyscraper's height off the ground, making his presence known to them. Meanwhile, the ship's weapons array had been activated and an assortment of plasma torpedos, clusterbombs and point-defense lasers readied themselves for the oncoming horde.

Invasion#13PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyTue Jan 31, 2017 8:36 pm

objective 2
she waited for reinforcements from the new generation to come, eventualy she was surrounded by 19
other sun elves all dressed in more standard combat armor though it still laid the focus on movement speed, they were modern goldwood rangers that joined the new generation, it was common for wood elves to join her new generation, they were equiped with more modern bows that replenish magical arrows upon drawing the string up.

she looks over the battlefield and thinks off a tactic where she can apply the archers that are present, with them having good stealth capabilities and powerfull stealth weapons they had to be positioned for it, she quickly hatched a decent plan for them.

"gentlemen, with you being accostumed defending in the woods, you will be assigned in the woods, stay hidden and shoot anything on sight, we split up into 4 groups but we also need to keep frequent contact with eachother, shoot any unauthorized entities on sight and contact me after killing a target. and remember, shoot to kill."

the 4 groups headed into the forrests and with them all being very adept rangers, roaming the woods was nothing too difficult, they were quickly far away from eachother and patrolled the woods.

The demons started coming, and the voices began to become more elated every second. Braakk needed to take care of his people first. “Shoot anything that looks demonic and falls from the sky!” Braakk bellowed to the majority of his troops. “Get our ships targeting their ground forces as well!”

Braakk summoned over 50 of his higher-ranking officers. “You all are coming with me,” he stated as the voices continued to increase their desire for bloodshed, “There is clearly a demon controlling these hordes, and we’re going to go see how much blood it needs to loose before it dies.” The fifty-one Seraphim headed toward the battlefield, Braakk leading the way as he quietly chuckled and conversed plans with the voices.

Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) Empty
Invasion#15PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyWed Feb 01, 2017 4:40 am

"Today..."

Shzzzt. Krchz. Bzrrt.

"In defending a potential new addition to the Inquisition..."

Click Click. Zummmm. Bwap.

"We, the Children of the great Zaegrim will fall upon the heathens and evils of the Demonic Crusade who dare to encroach upon our borders."

In the space above the planet known as Aumia, a large number of ships from the Zaegrim Inquisition lie in waiting - many were ready to unleash the full might of the Inquisition upon Aumia's invaders below. At the forefront of this invasion defense would be Zephyna Aldaris - Avatar of Zaegrim and General of the Nzani Military. As she and her fellow soldiers prepared to warp upon their foes, Zephyna gave a pep speech to brighten the spirits of her allies and urge them to be swift and merciless to their foes.

"The Crusade has been a thorn in the side of the Inquisition, and, dare I say, everyone else in the galaxy, for far too long. Now, they have the audacity and over-eager confidence to attack us indirectly through this invasion. Needless to say, the attack on Aumia below may as well be an attack on us, the Inquisition, for it is close to our beloved Home Planet, and well within our territorial boundaries.

Those demons and their foul, arrogant lords will know what it truly means to feel fear, even if fear is something alien to them. For we are the Inquisition, and we will exterminate their ilk until there is naught but emptiness where once they stood."

Cheers erupted as Zephyna finished her words, and the Avatar took her place with her people. The banshee warp technology in their ship was ready to go now; the magical charge it needed was sated.

As the warp technology sent off troops, their paths would bring with them a most shrill and haunting chorus of high-pitched screeching noises meant to intimidate foes. While those who would side with the Inquisition this day would likely believe them to be demons at first, they would soon realize that it was but the Inquisition, for they would be fighting the foul creatures of the Crusade (and it was made clear how the Inquisition would approach earlier to the other militaries beforehand).

As soon as the warps finished, the Inquisition soldiers would be on top of and positioned behind the Crusade forces for a brutal multi-front attack.

This day would be the Crusade's undoing. Zephyna herself would see to it.

Invasion#16PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyWed Feb 01, 2017 10:00 am

Objective 1

Jaya charged forward with the rest of her troops, Blightslayer held high and shining in the sunlight. At the final few meters her wings shot out, propelling her forward with a sweeping blow to cut through two demons easily. Their corpses hissed with the burning of purge magic before falling down in parts, becoming a carpet for the soldiers behind to tread over. Overall the Alliance took the helm of the battle, holding off the main wave of demonic forces while it hoped it's allied armies were devising ways to flank and find their leader.

At the front Dwarves and the strongest Humans formed the vanguard of shields and swords, cutting in unison to then lock their shields and push back the demonic hordes. Behind and between them the Elves and Fey worked in unison as assassins and skirmishers, relying wholly on offensive and agile movements to weave between the two lines making picks on the enemy. Finally at the book stood Elven Archers and the Mages of Arcanus, providing the artillery for their forces. Altogether they stood strong and unwavering in the face of hellfire.

Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) Empty
Invasion#17PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyWed Feb 01, 2017 10:16 am

Objective 1
Demons poured from the cruisers almost infinitely, replenishing the hordes before them every second. Furthermore, their guns were beginning to position themselves forwards at the enemy forces, readying their fire support. For the moment however they held back, as did the majority of the Riftspawn on the ground. Instead twenty or so Behemoths, extremely large demons the size of Ogres armed with maces and chains, charged to the frontlines to make their move. With giant weapons and fists they began smashing at the enemies with sweeping strikes, almost like harvesting wheat from fields.

Meanwhile behind them came another enemy which for normal armies would have been disastrous. War however was not deterred. Turning his steed to face the Inquisition he roared out orders which carried through the Hellish planes to his soldiers.
"Turn half the ships, create a mirror army!"
At his command half of the cruisers turned, changing their flow of troops to the opposite direction. Now the center of the demons ground had soldiers spawning to go both ways, almost like a double waterfall. Within moments their were now hordes of demons charging towards the newest arrivals, creating a defense on their second front.

As for War, he turned back and kicked his horse into action towards the Alliance and Seraphim forces...

Objective 2
After a period of relative silence, the only sound coming from the cries of distant battle, a strange fog began to build around the World Shroom. It rolled in from all directions and was seemingly harmless to inhale, but it's thickness and dull grey colour prevented any vision of the distance. Furthermore it seemed the gas held special properties, messing with both technological and magical sensing. This wave of misty material continued until no one could see but a few meters before them. Silence continued, until finally footsteps came.

From all sides their seemed to come enemies in groups of twos or threes. Rotten and horrid creatures that glowed green instead of the usual demonic red. They came in fast from the fog with their axes and shields ready, picking out targets to gang up on in hopes of overwhelming as many defenders as they could.

For the Freelancer in his ship there was just a thick fog below now, in which he could see nor sense nothing. As the sounds of struggle came from below, so too did a physical threat. Winged abominations that seemed like giant corrupted bats shot up from the fog, grasping and biting at his ship's hull and windows to try and get their way to the man inside.

Optional Objective: Space
The Demonic Fleet reformed itself with the remaining Battleships it had in orbit. The giant Gorosh Battleships took the center, raising their shields and readying their weaponry for their inner defense. Meanwhile the lighter Ashok Cruisers began pushing out towards the enemy ships with their greater speed, hoping to close the gap and entangled their tendrils on any they could reach.

Objective 2
Just as one creature came into Kitty's view from the fog a flash of light sent it flying backwards. Although several more took it's place and continued coming, it seemed she had a new ally. By her side now stood Elijah, hands raised ready to conjure energy for the fight. Facing slightly away to combat the different directions of the enemy he shouted over the noise of battle.

"I heard your Legion meeting went... well..." He said skeptically as his hand shot out again, firing a burst of raw arcane energy forwards to meet another oncoming creature. It crackled over it's body like electricity before sending it back with immense force. The raw manipulation of the arcane was powerful yet crude. Even through the fog others could see it's flashing arcs of light, and it was more than enough to deal with the plagued creatures swarming them.

Of course with Kitty alongside him these enemies were nothing against them.

"My meeting with Legion went swimmingly thank you. I got tortured by black goo versions of my friends and family, got half my face melted off by acid, and had black goo poured down my throat. So you know, the usual." Kitty let loose a ring of fire from around her body, the surprisingly dark flames incinerating the plague beings around the two of them. "And as predicted your brother was less than pleased, and I obviously told him to shove it up his star spangled ass." Kitty then made a strange noise, one that sounded like a bird and a chair scraping the ground. All at once the vampires leaped into action, careful not to bite into the plague victims upon risk of infection, but still tearing through them

Invasion#20PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyWed Feb 01, 2017 9:14 pm

Objective 1:

Luther frowned under his helmet. There were a total of ten reported injuries so far. All were minor, but it still didn't bode well. The Demons were certainly more powerful than he had anticipated, but that wasn't what made him nervous. What truly worried the spartan was the slowing flow of enemies. At one moment, they were charging like a horde. Then, all of a sudden, the flow thinned and slowed, and half of the Demons' landing cruisers turned around. That meant one of two things. One: Some unknown fourth ally had taken the rear of the enemy. Or two: the Demons were building up defenses for a major counterattack. Luther decided to count on the latter. It would be a pleasant surprise if there were allies.

"Hold positions, everyone," Luther ordered into the comms, "We wait for reinforcements."

The moment the Spartan said it, the troopers heard the sound of sabres and pelicans swooping down through the atmosphere. Scorpion tanks, warthogs, and even an elephant tank were swiftly deployed on top of the bluff the ODSTs and Spartans had spent the last half hour defending.

"Okay everyone, fall back and group up on the ridge and grab some sandbags. This ridge will be our fortress. Scorpions, warthogs. Provide fire support and artillery for the ODST retreat."

The thumps and clacks of scorpion cannons and warthog turrets rang through the air as the ODST's and Fireteam Diablo retreated back to the top of the ridge. Now with all his men behind cover and with the high ground, he could rest a little bit easier.

He jumped in an unattentded warthog, "ODST, get on the turret. Spartan Smith, with me. Spartans Meriweather and Green, take another warthog. I need five more fully loaded warthogs with me, we're going to surgically strike their commander. Sabers will provide air support and Scorpions will provide artillery support"

The warthog engines roared as the military jeeps flew off the side of the ridge, slamming into a small squadron of demons. The six warthogs charged towards the Dropships and the enemy commander in hopes of making it before the Demons set up their own defenses

Optional:

The large UNSC fleet sat in orbit, guarding the Orion and Charon class ships from attack and wary of approaching the Demon fleet without knowing their ships' combat capabilities. They needed to test them.

"Ensign, can we target those Demonic dropships on the surface. Damaging them will show us a little bit about their armor capabilites."

The fleet in orbit, with their MAC cannons already fully charged, targeted the row of Demonic dropships on the surface and fired. The normally deafening sound of rail cannons firing was muted in the cold quiet of space as the rounds streaked through the atmosphere towards the Demon's dropships.

As the fog blocked his vision, The Freelancer frowned in annoyance. Not even his ship's sensors could penetrate the thick planet below his ship, leading him to wonder whether the fog itself had magical properties...

He didn't get too much time to think however, as suddenly large bat-like creatures shot up from the blanket and closed the distance between themselves and his ship alarmingly quick. His ship's point-defense laser turrets managed to gun a few down with concentrated barrages of automatic laser-fire, however there were too many of them to kill. One by one, those that had survived managed to clamber onto the ship and were attempting to chew and scratch their ways through. The Freelancer assessed the live holographic blueprint of his ship, large red blips showing where the enemies had landed. He then turned and tapped a small screen on a console, typing in a few more commands as well.

Within seconds, the hangar bay of The Freelancer's ship opened up and dozens of small automated winged fighters flew out, curved back around and opened fire on the hull of the ship. Their impacts had negligible effect on the ship's hull but against the bats, they were disastrous. Some bats that were still rising up had turned to engage the fighters which quickly turned into multiple airborne dog fights.

While the fighters began to dispatch the bats, The Freelancer typed in some more commands and his ship began to ready its drop pods.

"Some of them are turning..." Jaya said as she cut down another couple of demons, taking a small break as she examined what was happening at the rear of the demonic lines. Half their ships were turning to face another army, which was some consolation for Jaya. "Keep pushing, we have only half their forces to deal with!" The nearby soldiers roared with vigor, pushing harder at the words of their Queen. Deep down though Jaya knew that half of a near infinite army was still too much...

We can't do this alone. Jaya surveyed the battlefield mid-fight, spotting the UNSC pulling their weight. Atleast they had the decency to fight this battle. Her eyes scanned for the strange aliens she had met before but they seemed to be out of sight. She could only hope they were flanking the enemy. On the far side she knew the Inquisition had arrived, but whether they were holding their own was another matter.

All these doubts had to be pushed aside as she cleaved her way forward through the demon's ranks, eventually spotting a fiery figure in the distance.

War was approaching the frontlines...

Objective 1
@Luther-A029 @Braakk @Zephyna Aldaris

With the army successfully mirrored they managed to push against both sides of the opposition. The inquisition already seemed inept to handle their forces, having made little use of their surprise appearance. This meant the demons were all the more fueled by the prospect of victory and glory, tearing into the Inquisition's vanguard with their Behemoths taking point. Even for the shield-bearers it was a brutal retaliation.

At the other front things were less fluid, as they had the combined might of the Alliance, UNSC and Vampires to face. It was more of a stalemate than they would have liked, but War was steadily approaching the vanguard. On top of this the Riftspawn were beginning their move, slipping away through portals to prepare their assault.

Objective 2
@KittyYoungblood @The Freelancer @RescueScribbles

As the infested troops were dealt with in the dense fog, another more prominent figure appeared in the distance. At first it was a black outline of something upon a horse, but quickly suspicions would be confirmed. Pestilence entered the midst with an eery glow of green surrounding him. Almost unphased by those around him he dismounted, walking slowly towards the World Shroom with eyes locked on it. Low by his side he held a scythe-like weapon, ready to retaliate against anyone who would stand in his path.

Optional: Space
The battleships closed the gapped quickly, striking out at both Alliance and USNC ships with their tendrils. Their aim would be to crash straight into the opposing vessels and entangled them in their large limbs, crushing and ripping apart any hull that gave way. As for the cruisers over the surface they were unaware of the incoming shots until the last moment, sufferring several major damages which resulted in a third of them failing altogether. This in turn had it's effect on the deployment of more troops, the crashes even taking out groups of soldiers beneath...

Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) Empty
Invasion#24PostSubject: Re: Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia)   Judgement Day (Demon Invasion of Aumia) EmptyWed Feb 08, 2017 4:14 pm

"Foolish Demons. You act so aggressively predictable."

As Zephyna had predicted they would, a score of demons ran down the strategically placed frontliners who, in complete faith of the plan, presented themselves as a decoy unit to lure some of the harder hitting demons into a most brutal trap that may have even made Aboleth proud if that were something the Inquisition wanted.

As the large demons closed in, a couple dozen Intelligence-Intregrated Harpoon Guns (or IIHGs) - highly inaccurate despite their AI functions - fired off large barbed harpoons that emitted highly concentrated magical energy. These harpoons were larger versions of the tools used to remove limbs of the Atoning for magitechnical integration, but these versions did not kill the pain of having one's limbs ripped from ones body.

As the targets were quite large, it would take several harpoons to deal with a single target, but soon enough, harpoon lines were taut and doing their brutal work.

The Inquisition were usually above such tactics, but not when the Demonic Crusade were involved.

No. Brutality would be met with equal brutality this day. Zephyna despised using her soldiers as decoys, but they were more than willing, and it was one of them who had originally brought up the idea that ended up voted upon. Zephyna could not help but acknowledge its bloody potential. She could only hope that those who took the brunt of the charge would somehow survive to some extent.

As she mused, she saw several large demons fall to the ground. Those who did not have their limbs removed quickly due to the size were soon charged by quick soldiers who mercilessly carved into their bodies.

Turning to a nearby officer, Zephyna asked, "Are the Focusers ready?"

A nod. "Yes, Lady Avatar. When you require it, the Worthy are ready to bring the Crystallized Bombardment forth. They will take some time to charge up their attacks, however."

Zephyna nodded in her understanding. "We shall give them the time to fully prepare. We will need the machinations of the Worthy this day."

Objective 2

Kitty's attention momentarily left the monstrosities that Pestilence, it instead turned to Pestilence himself. Fireballs grew in her palms, several of which she aimed at Pestilence, but her attention was quickly regained by the monstrosities again. Kitty threw up a wall of fire in front of her, then she shoved it forward towards several monsters, reducing them to ash within a few moments. Every couple of seconds she would shoot a fireball Pestilence's way, then return to fighting the monsters.
