The Ceithre Eireabaill

The plans for this new construction were huge. It was planned to be only 1000 meters long. However, the Dryads hoped that they would be able to make it bigger in the long run. Due to its immense size, the Adhmad could not find a creature suitable enough to breed for it. So the Council, after convening with the Behemoths, decided to artificially create the ship.

The plans for the skeleton were simple enough. The Adhmad made up the designs, using all of their knowledge of living creatures to form the beast's skeletal structure. The metals for these bones were supplied by the Stone Drakes, who after gaining sentience settled the area of Baile Cloiche. A group of three volcanoes surrounded by craggy mountains, located in the southeast part of Ar Dtus Chathair. The Drakes mined through the stone of their ancestral homes. They went deep and expanded finding all sorts of ores. The most common of these was iron and coal. Using the natural heat of the volcanoes, to which the Stone Drakes are immune, they began to melt down the ore, drawing the iron from it. They were helped by the Doitean, who kept the heat at just the right level, and by the Aer, who kept a current of cool air flowing through the workshops of the Drakes. In this manner, a vast amount of iron was produced, with more being created each day.

The Miotal, a great number of whom had decided to settle down in Baile Cloiche, used these metals of the Drakes. Helped by the Doitean and the Drakes, who harnessed the flames of the volcanoes, they forged these vast amounts of iron into steel. From there they forged the great bones of the Ceithre. Not a single bone was made whole, instead they were all fragments that once linked together could offer rigid strength and stability with an easy amount of play. This would allow the bones to bend ever slightly without snapping in two. This endeavor took an entire month to complete, as it was tedious and long. However, this was also the easiest part of the entire ordeal.

They now had to join all of the fragments together, but to do this they needed to create many a Golemic Core and spools of Golemic Wire. The components for these were easy to find as they abounded in the mines of the Drakes. Gemstones, of varying degrees of purity and size for the cores and large amounts of silver or copper for the wire. The Miotal settled on garnets for the creation of the skeleton, as they were common and small, the right size for the steel fragments. They chose silver for the wire, since they had more of it than copper, and because it worked better in the first place.

The Miotal were paired with a mage each, as they formed the cores. Starting with a garnet, they would link their Anam with it, forming a connection. They could feel the structure of the gem, all of its intricacies. They could feel the lines of its molecules, and the impurities that lay within them. The mage would then surround the garnet with their magic of choice, begging the anam to allow the gem to stay together. As one, the Miotal would urge the anam within the gem to shift its own characteristics, breaking down its molecules, creating energy. The anam fed this energy, giving it a life of its own. This tie made, the Miotal would sense that the core could sustain itself. Then, the residue, all of that leftover matter, was moved to the edge of the core. It was vital that this material was from the gem itself and not some outside source. The matter of the gem is urged to form a shell, strengthened from within. The shell forms, creating a column that runs between the top and bottom of the core, creating its in- and outputs. The energy circulated around this column, making it pulse with an ethereal light.

With the core created and stabilized, the mage would slowly start removing their magic from around it. All the while the Miotal would keep up their connection with the core. If done properly, then the core would be stable and self-perpetuating. The cores made from the small garnets were only as big as a marble, but they would do their job. This process took several months to fulfill.

While the cores were being produced, they were also being installed within the steel bones of the Ceithre. The cores were placed within each and every one of the steel fragments. Then, using the wire, which was formed in the same manner as the cores, they created circuits on the outside of the fragments. Great swirling patterns appeared as Dryads worked day and night, assisted by Stone Drakes and Teagartha Ean. These patterns were tied into the ends of the cores, which had been imbedded on the side of the shards that faced inside of the bone. As such the patterns glowed, pulsating with the same energy as the cores. The sight made the slowly forming skeleton seem alive and well.

Then the Aer began to bind the fragments together. They sent out their Anams into multiple cores at a time. They changed some of the energy, giving it power over air. They built the bones in this way. Each fragment was given power over air, and the patterns of wire directed that power. The bones built themselves. However, they still needed to be permanently joined. That was where the Purog came into the mix. As the air had done before them, the Purog sent out their Anams as well, but they sent them out to the wires instead of the cores. They changed them ever so slightly, urging the wires to grow and merge between the shards of steel. They changed the composition of the energy that flowed through them ever so slightly, calling it to join that which laid around itself. As such, the bonds between the fragments slowly began to join together. This gave it much more stability, but if their was a crisis the fragments could still break apart without damaging too much. This process was being done as the cores and wire were being created.

With the skeleton built and formed, the Miotal went to work creating a much larger Golemic Core. It would require a large amount of materials to form. As such, every single one of the gems that had been mined out were formed into cores. As they were being formed, these cores were attached to a matrix that the Cruach themselves worked on. This matrix resembled a great tree made of Golemic Wire that sprouted into the heavens, all of them connected at the base to a large orb. The orb was a hollow sphere that the Cruach had created from laying the wires in that shape and having the Purog join them together. When a core was created, the Cruach would affix them to one of the tree's branches. They would then urge the energy within the core to leave from it and flow to the orb at the bottom. The nam within the cores obeyed, moving to the orb's mass. The wires of the orb were made in such a way that when energ passed through them it would be released on one side. Thus, the energy began to build itself up within the orb, which was ten feet in diameter. To fill the orb it would take several more months, as the process had to be slow.

The Adhmad also returned to the Ceithre's construction at this time. They had been busy developing ways to form muscle, flesh, and skin for the Ceithre. They had created a very good system as well. In order to power the muscles of the Ceithre, they would be covered with a green density of foliage, which would capture the pale lights of the wires and cores, feeding the energy to the muscles and flesh. While this would not satisfy all the needs of the flesh, it would help a great deal. Immediately, the Adhmad went to work assembling the muscles of the Ceithre. The Griffins would hold up the great beast's bones as the Dryads would plant a seed of muscle on each and every bone, sometimes multiple. They would then send out their Anams into these seeds. They urged them to grow, giving them direction and life, feeding the anam of everything through the muscles. As such, they sprouted, took root, and grew along the entire mass of the Ceithre. The Druids overlooked this endeavor, having created the blueprints for the Ceithre's muscles. The flesh rapidly grew to stretch out to other steel bones, leaving a great amount of them exposed. Then, as to the requests of the Dryads, the muscles grew even more, anchoring themselves to the bones, solidifying their strength. The patterns on the bones were made to allow control over these muscles, but Golemic Wire was still wound throughout them acting as their nerves. With this, the Ceithre would be able to move on its own. This process took 5 months, in which time the core of the Ceithre had been created.

Faction#5PostSubject: Re: The Birth of the Ceithre Eireabaill   The Birth of the Ceithre Eireabaill EmptyFri May 05, 2017 2:53 pm

The Cruach had developed a core unlike ever before. It was huge, being ten feet in diameter, and unlike other cores, this one had merged with the wires that aided in its creation. They sprouted from both ends of it in great trunks that split apart to form branches and twigs. This was to be the brain and the heart of the creature. From this it would be controlled. The Cruach enlisted to them the aid of the Teagartha and their keepers to lift the core into place for the great beast. As soon as it was in place, with the muscles of the Ceithre forming a large cavity in the beast's chest, the Purog began to urge the roots of the core to connect with the spine of the beast. This would hive it complete control over the beast's body. However, as an extra precaution, Golemic Wire was wound all the way around each and every bone and in the muscles themselves. These wires were then merged with the core's roots by the Purog. This was done in only a few weeks.

With the beast's heart in place, the Adhmad and Miotal decided to give it flesh and organs. The Adhmad went to work giving the body of the Ceithre, from its head to its tail and all of its appendages, a healthy amount of flesh. Within the flesh of the chest and gut of the Ceithre, the Miotal created artificial organs. These organs, mainly those of the digestive track, were made of inter-locking metal plates, fulfilled with their own sets of cores and wires. Within the stomach of the beast the wires are placed to allow energy to enter the stomach and leave it through them. The Uiscigh manipulated the energy within the core to break things apart into more easily managed pieces. Other cores were changed to have a more acidic energy that would break the contents of the stomach down even further. After passing through the stomach, the contents would arrive within the beast's intestines, where the Adhmad had grown various large blood vessels, whose job it was to take all the nutrients from the Ceithre's food and distribute them throughout the beast's body. Any leftover waste was dispelled through the cloaca at the end of the intestines. The Ceithre had lungs as well, and they worked much the same as the beast's intestines, but they were much smaller due to the fact that the Ceithre would hardly ever use them. During this endeavor, the Adhmad had also grown the skin of the beast. Thanks to the energies within its core, the Ceithre stayed aloft, but it was not yet alive.

Faction#6PostSubject: Re: The Birth of the Ceithre Eireabaill   The Birth of the Ceithre Eireabaill EmptyFri May 05, 2017 3:44 pm

The beast was almost complete. Only the scales, claws, teeth, eyes, fins, and tentacles had to be completed. As such, a team consisting of Adhmad, Miotal, and Purog went to work on its scales. The process began with a Golemic Core urged by the Purog to grow with new metals. With the wires connected to the core and placed within a great metal scale. Then with the help of griffins, who flew the scales up to their allotted places, the Adhmad grew the skin of the Ceithre around them. Then the Purog would urge the wires of the scales to go down and connect with bone. They also had the wind around arteries near the surface of the beast's skin. This would allow a transfer of metals from its blood to the scales, letting them grow and become stronger. This process was repeated with the tips of the tentacles, claws, and teeth of the beast. However, these ones were made so that even more metals would go to them, making them stronger faster.

The eyes and tongue of the Ceithre was another problem. The tongue, which was easy enough, was grown out by the Adhmad. Then its surface was covered in steel spikes, attached to the wires within the tongue by the Purog. This would allow the Ceithre to damage anything that was within its mouth as well as facilitate in eating. The eyes were developed by the Miotal, though. They took a two Golemic Cores the size of fists for the center of the eye's pupil. Then Wires were grown to resemble an entire eyeball around each one. The Diotean lit a flame within its energies in order to allow it to see better in the darkness of space. The Adhamd connected muscles to the eyes within their respective cavities, and the Purog ran a line of wires from them to the beasts core. Now it could see. These sections of the project took a little bit under two months.

Now the Adhmad had wanted to create great cavities in the beast's back that would allow for an army of golems and a gathering of Siolta to be carried with the beast. So they split the skin into two great sections on either side of the beast's lower spine. With this done, the Adhmad worked furiously to move about the flesh of this area to create an open room 100 x 100 meters. Then the Adhmad decided to create even more muscles that ran along the inside of the hatch's top. These were created in order to lift up the flap so that it could let either Golems or Siolta out or in. On the other side of the flap, another series of muscles were created. These ones would keep it closed and airtight when needed. As with all the other muscles in the Ceithre, these ones had lots of wires running through them connecting them to the beast's core.

The Adhmad also began to cover the muscles of the beast with a thin layer of foliage. This would allow them to absorb some amount of energy from the glow of the wires on the beast's steel bones. Then they grew the great fins along the spine of the beast. These fins were made of an extremely thin, chlorophyllic growth. Like leaves, these fins will absorb the light of stars creating a source of food and energy for the Ceithre. Muscles were made along the base of the fins, allowing them to bend inwards in case of an attack. Now, the last step was to give the creature life.

The process of bringing cohesive life to the Ceithre was complicated. Each section had to be brought up simultaneously and slowly. If these precautions were not taken then the beast could suffer from detrimental effects in which a set of muscles functions at a different time then every other muscle in the beast. As such, all of the Cruach assembled in the Ceithre's core room. It was a large 30 x 30 ft room with a domed ceiling. The roots of the core expanded on either side of it, parallel with the creature's spine. They all sent their Anams within the great core. They explored throughout it, locating all of the built in blockages cutting off the great power from the rest of the beast. Taking their time, the five slowly circulated the blockages around away from the wires and back into the column, helping to support the core even more so. As they did this the energy flowed out of the core and into all parts of the beast.  The entire process took an entire week to fulfill and remove all of the blockages in the core.

At the end, the Ceithre opened its eyes for the first time. It stretched every single one of its muscles, opening all of the passages and rooms that the Adhmad had built into it.Its bones creaked as they moved for the first time. It thrashed around exploring this body of its. Immediately, with the Cruach still in its core room, the Ceithre flew through the sky. Its call resonating throughout the mountains. Eventually, it slowed to a stop. The Cruach, communicating to it through its core asked for it to return to its place of birth, the Ceithre did as it was requested. The endeavor had ended with success.

(Golemic Armor will be added to the beast in its own thread)
