The Crusader drifted quietly through space as Ven looked through contract after contract in an attempt to find some interesting work to do. Almost an hour passed before he found what he was looking for - A bounty on a cult leader named Tavion Nazara. Ex military, likely heavy resistance and he practically worships my brother? Perfect. Ven thought to himself as he signed on for the contract. Even for him, a job this big might be too much. "I'm gonna need backup..." he muttered.

Ven stood up from the bed in his captain's quarters and moved through the ship's main lounge into the cockpit. He cracked his knuckles, sitting down at the controls of the ship. Maybe I can find some help out on Omega... Ven thought to himself as he considered how he would go about accomplishing his mission. "Computer!" He called out. "Plot a course for Omega and prepare to jump to lightspeed"

In the blink of an eye, the Crusader disappeared, beginning the journey to Omega.

Omega....Den of most of the criminals in the Northern Galaxy and immoral companies profiting off deals made with local crime lords. Many mercs of various species flow through the station seeking contracts or some relaxation. The station was worn and cold much like the local inhabitants, they eyed visitors with a mixture of awe and hate, the latter recieved by Kaiyan, his race still new and rare to the galactic stage.

He has been in the station for a good few days and has already become accustomed to the subtle xenophobia directed towards him. He was probably the most equipped visitor Omega had seen in years, the metallic boots of his power armour echoed softly as he traversed the run down halls of Omega's slums. Dirt and grine did little to take away the silvery shine of his power armour but instead stained the purple robe he wore around his armour. He was shielded from the soft chill carried through the hall thanks to his thermal chestplate keeping his temperature optimal. He wore his armour helm and appeared robotic, his filtered breathing being the only thing breaking that illusion.

Following the digigrade reptilian was a floating sphere the size of a fist, the sphere was scanning the area, cataloging data and relaying it to Kaiyan's helmet hud system. Kaiyan carried a long rifle of alien design...The M-2 rail rifle shone with a similar silvery metal as his armour.

The reptilian stopped as he reached a marketplace surrounding Omega's most infamous club....Kaiyan grinned under his helm....This would be the place to find information about the target perhaps....He had already procured what he needed to seek the target on the nearby planet of Therum just a few systems away. He made his way to the bouncers, flashing a few credits with a mixture of intimidation and gained entry to the den of decadence that could only be rivalled by the Galactic Casino on Bacchus Prime.

When the Ananaki weren't ravaging the kitchen of all its meaty products then they were either in their shared room, or the lounge. Today they were in the latter. Staring intently at a checkered board with pawns...

Maq Ra'im's large frame was seated on one of the couches, one clawed hand resting on his knee while the other was tucked against his hairy cheek...pondering about the next move. He was wearing his Narx'un chitin armor, which in space was a bit odd since it was a gladiator-style armor. One shoulder exposed while the other had linked plates of chitin protecting it with soft fur to prevent chaffing, a large belt made from leather and cloth with a chitin piece covering most of the abdomen which left the rest of his torso exposed. And the pants were again of the supple leather type with sandals.

Xa'ra wore a similar armor. Thankfully her kind had enough modesty to cover up the females more although her torso was wrapped in cloth instead. She had a bored look about her, the occasional clicks coming from her mouth as she waited.

Her brow arched when Ra'im finally moved a beastly shaped pawn, "That one was mine," she spoke in Irkall. Ra'im made a dismissive noise and waved his hand, "No it's not, that one was mine," he said as he took away 2 pawns from the board, "And now so are these."

Xa'ra looked up at him, "Maybe you are playing it wrong?"

"Maybe we are both playing it wrong?" he asked as he looked up in annoyance. Neither of them knew what they were doing really, Chess seemed easy when Humans play it. Behind Xa'ra he could hear the determined footsteps of their captain, confirming it when he used his echolocation and recognized the man's shape.

Xa'ra turned her head as she heard his voice, "Computer! Plot a course for Omega and prepare to jump to lightspeed." She smiled before turning back to Ra'im, "The captain found work..."

"About time...I'm hungry."

The robotic humanoid known only to the rest of the galaxy as "The Freelancer" was perhaps one of the most feared and respected bounty hunters and mercenaries in the galaxy. Wherever he went, it was only natural for others around him to turn and stare in awe, shock or fear. To stand back and make way for his huge, 8ft tall robotic form.

In spite of these reactions, he had guessed a completely different reception on Omega. Infamous for its criminal population, it was essentially the last place any individual that treasured their life would even think to go. As he passed through the crowds, he was recieved with mixtures of growls, glares and murmuring. A few even tried to stand before him and challenge him with threatening noises and tones before realising that there was nothing they could do to phase him or pause him in his tracks and eventually made way - a wise decision.

At last he arrived at his destination - a large restaurant that despite its size and apparent funding, was in dire need of repairs. As he entered, he quickly scanned the room, examining each criminal, gang or don that sat in different groups around the interior of the building. His gaze rested on one particular man who he instantly recognised as his target. Without any hesitation, he moved forward to greet him.

After a few hours of traveling, the Crusader slowed its speed, dropping out of lightspeed almost instantly. "Captain, we have emerged from lightspeed. Transferring control of the ship back to you" The ship's computer notified the crew of the ship. Ven quickly took the helm, slowing the ship down to a slow drift as Omega's docking security hailed the Crusader.

"Crusader crew, this is Omega Station Security. Before you dock we request that you state your business on the station, over." A security officer ordered. Ven knew immediately how he would respond.

"Omega Station, this is Crusader. We're recruiting for a dangerous mission and would appreciate if we could enter and leave the station as soon as possible." the captain replied. The comms system went silent for a few minutes, leaving the Crusader crew to drift in space as they waited for clearance to land. Normally, there wouldn't be issues like this on Omega, but this new docking security team seemed keen to rebuild Omega's reputation. Telling them they were recruiting a team to murder someone probably wasn't the best way to access the station and Ven knew this.

The silence of the comms lingered for a few moments more before the security guard responded to Ven's request. "Crusader, you're cleared to land. Proceed to docking bay 30" he ordered. Ven complied, quickly speeding up and flying to land in the designated docking bay. Slowly, the ship came to a halt as Ven engaged the landing protocol, grounding the ship smoothly.

Ven turned his head to look back towards the ship's lounge and cabins where his two companions could be found.
"Hey, you two!" He called to the two Ananaki bounty hunters. "We've landed, now we just need to set off the contract beacon and wait for anyone else to come aboard." he continued, picking up a small device that looked like a homing beacon. Ven looked at the object for a moment before activating it and placing it back down on the console. And now we wait... He thought to himself, stepping out of the cockpit to sit in the lounge.

Kaiyan found himself removed from the bar following a....disagreement with one of the criminal tenants who refused to share information about the target....The Potrosi laughed under his breathing mask but found it rather difficult to keep laughing after Kaiyan forcefully removed the mask and promised to replace it after he got his information,he was able to shirk off the criminal bodyguards but was later removed by the bouncers who apologized to the crime lord before 'kindly' showing the former Legate out of the bar.

Kaiyan cursed in his alien language and began walking aimlessly across the station. His holo-Gaunthlet picked up a strange signal,a homing device of sorts set on Bounty Hunter guild ID frequencies. Curious as he was,the slit eyed reptilian set off towards one of Omega's docking bays noticing the Crusader as the point of origin of the signal.

He remained hidden under the hood hiding his appearance and readying his large weapon, just in case it was a trap....It was always good to be prepared. He found the ship open and quietly entered,he saw that the ship had an banner depicting the Bounty hunter guilds regalia. "Of course" He thought and lowered his rifle, placing it on safety, his armour detected heat signatures in the lounge and he walked in revealing himself to Ven and the Anikari(Forgive if it's misspelled)

The reptilian placed his left claw on his chest where his heart lies. "Kaiyan Vivar at your service...." The reptilian removed his helm and eagerly watched the expressions of the humanoids carefully with a expressionless grin commonly carried by his kind. "I assume this is also about the bounty on a certain Tavion of Therum.....

The last latch on his armor connected and bolted as he stepped out of the auto-suit closet from where he stored his armor. He suits ai was coming online just as the contract notification began to ding. "Right on time... lucky me..." Altus said quietly as he stepped out of the Coalition office and into the street. He wasn't far from the beacon so it didn't take long for him to make it to where he needed to be.

The Crusader. It was a nice ship, not too shabby overall. Altus stood their for a minute observing it before making his way forwards it and tapping a few things on his communicator. The guilds dossier and contract acceptance would pop up whenever someone checked to see who was boarding. He made his way onboard, taking a seat quite comfortably without looking around. "Names Altus..." He said easily without really caring who it was he was talking to. It was more to just let them know he was on board more than anything.

OOC:

The couple had given up on Chess a while ago, instead turning their focus to a remote-controlled screen that the humans referred to as 'television'.

Sadly their Night Vision gets little use here in the territory of humans and other light dwellers. And their echolocation couldn't give them any details on what was on the screen...So they ended up just listening to the voices and sounds coming out of it. They found it surprisingly pleasant!

Maq Ra'im huffed before trying to steal the remote again, "Okay, it is my turn now! Give me the remote," he said in Irkall.

Xa'ra pulled her hand away though, "Mm," shaking her head.

"Ote!" he growled.

"No! I want to know what happens next!" she said as she listened intently to the alien soap opera.

*****

Lance: ...But Janice, can't you see?! That wasn't me that was....that was... *the man turns around and bites his knuckle...dramatically*

Janice: Who Lance? Who was it if not you...

Lance: Oh Janice... That...That was my evil twin brother Englebert!

*DUN-DUN-DUUUUNNNN*

~ Englebert has returned from the Rift! Watch the confrontation between brothers in the next episode of =Deja Q= ~

*****

Maq Ra'im arched his brows at the plot twist as did Xa'ra. Then Ra'im turned to his mate, asking for the remote again, "Ote, ote, ote!" He wanted to find something this time, he had heard about 'sports' on the television and wondered if they were as honorable and bloody as theirs was.

Xa'ra groaned but handed him the remote, "Fine. And speak common, it is impolite if you don't."

Ra'im waved his hand dismissively, "Then they are impolite as well for not speaking in ours. Since when do you care?"

"Since we need Credits, we wont get them if people do not trust us..." she said while crossing her arms. Her ears perked up at the voice of the computer, "We are here."

Ra'im rolled his eyes at her reply while continuing to flick through the channels until he found one that interested him. Well...human wrestling wasn't as brutal as the Ananaki were used to but it was something. He too heard the artificial voice followed by the security of Omega.

Both Ananaki turned their heads towards their captain as he informed them of their arrival. Which reminds them...

Maq Ra'im sat the remote down as he stood, "We are out of food again, we go shopping." Xa'ra too stood up then, she was actually curious to see what Omega was like. "We'll be back soon," she said to the captain.

***

It wasn't long before they returned, they even got back before the first interested parties came on board the Crusader. Omega was definitely a place that they were comfortable at, exotic meats from all over the universe (some more questionable than others), trinkets and gadgets, brawls left and right, ... However the scents were less pleasant as their olfactory senses got assaulted with gods knows what...

When they returned they had both arms full of assorted meats, mostly for them. But Xa'ra also bought some food for the captain. She knew not everyone was strictly carnivorous, although whether or not the products were considered edible by Ven's kind was another matter.

They were busy putting away the goods in the ship's kitchen. Grabbing some snacks, which to human equivalent were practically 2 whole plates worth of meat, they made their way back to the lounge to join their captain.

But then a reptilian entered the room. As the creature greeted them and revealed its face, the Ananaki made sure to remember its scent and voice.

Maq Ra'im grunted and gave the reptilian a nod before taking a huge bite from the Strider meat, his jaw elongated as the tissue of the cheek grooves stretched along with it.

Both he and Xa'ra sat down at their usual spots in the lounge when then another party joined the crew.

Kat was on omega for 'bussines'. Realistically she was probing the station for any weaknesses as she would return here in less than a 2 days and bring down a heavy assault to raid the place and rob them of their goods and free their slaves, she looked at the poors souls and smiled thinking that they would be free soon enough... She wandered through the halls ominously grinning at the guards that would be slaughtered by her pirate crew in a matter of a mere two days. She then wandered past an interesting ship that was named the crusader. By looking at it she hoped the ship would still be here in 2 days because it was worthy of being added to her pirate crew.

After the business had been finished with, The Freelancer was walking back to his ship in one of the docking stations before receiving a beacon.

A call for any nearby bounty hunters to join in on a high profile assassination contract. Intriguing. While The Freelancer prefered to work alone, cooperation with others to achieve a mutual goal was something he had plenty of experience in. It all depended on the mindsets and behaviours of his team mates, which most of the time were less than ideal and bothered him. He hoped that the group he'd find at this Crusader ship wouldn't be of a similar kind.

As he walked around and entered the lounge, his eyes rested on each individual sat down, taking a good look at all of them. Compared to most, he was huge, but he was no foolish enough to underestimate anyone.

"I have come for the bounty." He stated in a deep, echoey voice. He looked from person to person, hoping that whoever was in charge would speak up and reply and make themselves known.

Ven had waited patiently since the Crusader had docked on Omega. The beacon had done its job so far and strangers had slowly boarded the ship and signaled that they were there for the mission. They were practically ready to set off. So far, Ven had heard three other people enter the Crusader. With himself and his two Ananaki companions alongside them, the mission now had a team of six bounty hunters.

If I wait for anyone else I'll end up having to split the money even more...The Celestial thought to himself briefly. Might as well leave now... And without second thought, Ven fired up the ship, its engines roaring into action as the Crusader prepared to leave Omega. An alarm sounded loudly across the docking bay, signaling for anyone inside to evacuate the area as a ship prepared to leave. After a few minutes, the large blast doors keeping the docking bay separated from the harsh vacuum of space slowly opened and the Crusader lifted off from the metal ground it had been sat up on for a few hours now.

Inside the ship, Ven was left little time to join the rest of the team and get to know them as, for now at least, he had to stay focused on piloting the ship off of Omega. This didn't stop the rest of the team however as he began to hear the new arrivals slowly begin talking to one another. He watched for a moment as the docking bay doors were now wide open. Once he left the station and started the contract, there would be no backing out. Time to get out of here... Ven thought to himself as he flew the ship out of the docking bay. It was time to head to Therum.

A few minutes passed as the ship moved far enough away from the station to safely jump to lightspeed. "Computer. Plot a course to Therum and jump to lightspeed" Ven ordered, the computer quickly complying as the Crusader turned of its own free will to jump in the direction if its eventual destination. Another moment or two of quiet passed in the cockpit before the Crusader jumped to lightspeed and the ship's navigational computer took over control of the ship. With this in mind, Ven journeyed into the ship's lounge to join and get to know the rest of his crew.

"Name's Ven. Ven Almis" He stated as he took a seat in the lounge. This was going to be a long journey, he might as well socialize to pass the time.

Kaiyan stood patiently in a corner between the lounge and the workstation,as he leaned against the wall his armour seemed to absorb the light reflected upon it which seemed strange for such a metallic silvery metal. He watched as strange humanoids consumed vast amounts of meat that would even be plentiful for one of his kind, they seemed human yet Kaiyan knew these where not humans at all.

They had knife ears like the elves yet lacked their grace....Their eyes seemed fixed in purple much like his robe....He noticed they seemed to follow sound rather then sight...He wondered if they might not be blind somehow..They smelt different from humans as well....

Just as the reptilian was about to ask another stepped into the ship,a humanoid of steel towering above the rest... "Nypherian no....It lacks the elegance in design....Not a ordinary human cybernetic....Robot maybe.....Private sector....Seemed impractical to make it that tall." He thought to himself already trying to profile the individual much as his former Legion training taught him......But he had to cooperate instead of seeking out weaknesses like before....He found it unnerving to work alongside a machine....something all Varanidae especially the older generations find rather difficult to do given their past with machines. He watched as the one human walked to the cockpit and began to pilot the ship towards space before returning to reveal his name as Ven Almis.....

Almis....

The name was still fresh the day the Emperor ordered an investigation on the Almis family and their connections to several events the Imperium documented alongside the Reich, who seemed fixed upon removing them from the galaxy....Unlike the Reich's direct actions the Emperor wanted to know what they where facing.....It was the last and final decree given by Emperor Sagess before his death trying to establish contact with the GSU....With that came the slow decay of the Imperium and forced Kaiyan to seek out bounties to restore lost honour and gain credits to assist the survivors of the Helix attack.

He was wary of the name of course but did his best to hide his disgust under the emotionless grin his species was known for. Kaiyan simply bowed his horned head as is his custom to recognize the others and started to speak, glittering white canine teeth revealing itself from a mouth of scales.

"So here we are....A party of bounty hunters....Since you activated a homing device I assume you have intel on the target...otherwise why go through the trouble of hiring more Sekh Morkra if you where confident you can pull it off." He asked curiously, his rounded pupils scanning the faces of the party.

The idea that there were strangers staring at them didn't stop the Ananaki from eating their fill. While their captain was busy to take the ship back into space and start their contract, the couple commenced with memorizing people's scents and movements while they listened to their conversations.

Subtle metallic clicks, soft puffs of hydraulics of the inner workings of the robotic entity. Its heavy foot made no illusion to the Ananaki that he was most likely the largest and heaviest of the group. Maq Ra'im's echolocation could tell that the being was even larger than he was, and he was standing at 7' foot tall, practically a giant for his own kind. The robot will be easy to track down by scent alone.

There was a time in their history where the Ananaki had once contemplated to create constructs to do their bidding but the idea was just as quickly tossed aside as they found it lazy. Not wanting to miss out on combats and enrich their knowledge by doing things themselves.

Then there was the rather imposing little human that sat next to his mate Xa'ra. The female could tell that the human wasn't really interested in his companions considering he didn't partake much in the conversations. Judging by the way he practically waltzed through the Crusader he appears to be confident in his actions. Then there was a subtle smell of gunpowder and smoke lingering about him, along with scents similar to the Omega markets...he might be a local here?

The first Bounty Hunter that joined the crew, heavy weight but light on his feet. The soft rustling of cloth and heavy clinks and clanks of metal...armor. Considering that he took the lead of the conversation he might be a leader type, someone who's used to dealing with other species something that the Ananaki lacked in considering that they were cut of from most civilizations for a long time.

But all in all they were curious about all their companions and their respective skills. The Ananaki had introduced themselves, having given them all the typical roman handshake. Holding their palms on the other's lower arm, their weapon arm so to speak.

But their introduction was brief, "I am Maq Ra'im, this is my mate Xa'ra. The captain will explain everything..."

When Ven Almis turned the automatic pilot on and joined the rest, that's when things really got interesting.

As the captain explained the contract both Ananaki turned on their PDA wristbands to download the information about the Contract. Blackish-purple wispy swirls floating up from the dark crystal slab on their lower arm as images of Tavion Nazara began to form along with any information about him; descriptions, rewards, dangers, planetary information about Therum.

Therum...Now within territory of the Helix Virus. The Ananakian people weren't aware about the virus until recently, it appears that Irkalla had slipped between the radars of the robotic scourge most likely due to the fact that their planet wasn't exactly a planet anymore.

Xa'ra pointed at a particular detail within the contract to Ra'im, "He has battalions of followers..." she said with excitement.

Ra'im looked at her PDA, nodding. Looks like they're going to have their fun.

The captain has introduced himself and so had a few others but, Altus didn't quite meet there taxes. He kept to himself and simply listened instead reacting. Their questions and introductions were almost meshed together into a sludge of words to him and then... he breathed and focused once again. He shook his head and stood up, looking at the others.

"Names Altus Reine. If you need more info, come talk to me, otherwise, let me know when we've landed and we need to kill something." He say down and pulled out his twin songs, cleaning them methodicly and seriously. He wasn't too happy about the amount of people he would need to split the bounty with. It wouldn't matter though, it was less about the credits and more about adding another bounty in his name.

Just before the ship had taken off, The Freelancer used his ability of technopathy to send a command to his ship, The Nemesis. It's engines powered up and covertly followed The crusader out of the station, before using its FTL drive to piggyback itself onto the Crusader before it jumped into slipspace.

Once Ven Almis entered the loungue to make pep talk, The Freelancer eased himself slightly, while still analysing each member of the team using his cybernetic optics.
"It appears that the planet to which we have set course is within the Helix Virus's territory. We will have more on our hands than just Tavion Nazara's battalion." The Freelancer said as he looked at Xa'ra, having heard her point out the detail to her mate.

"We will be needing a plan of action if we are to simplify this task and avoid excessive engagements." He continued. "Does your ship possess any kind of cloaking ability?" He asked as he turned back to Ven. His tone of voice was very straight forward. Neither gentle nor harsh, only if with the slightest hint of aggression that seemed to go baturally with his deep, echoey voice and overall physical stature.

"Freelancer's right. With the threat of the Helix virus, this job just got a lot more complicated. Hell, it might just be the biggest job you've taken on so far" he commented, listening to the Freelancer's attempt to be motivational. The two bounty hunters had never met before but Ven knew of the Freelancer due to his extensive reputation as a skilled mercenary. If he was glad to have anyone with him on this mission, it was the Freelancer. That wasn't to say he didn't trust the other members of the team who had gathered. He simply didn't know of them through reputation yet. He certainly hoped they'd be able to handle this mission.

Ven looked around at his comrades for a moment before speaking.
"Here's the plan..." He stated, pulling up a live feed of the Syndicate's main base. Syndicate forces had already engaged in a ground war with their own mechs, who had now been infected with the Helix virus. The Syndicate were pinned down inside the walls of their base, but they were successfully holding the enemy forces off...For now.

"We'll split up into two teams and drop in to the left and right sides of the facility. The left side has a small relay station that should open the facility's main blast door once disabled. That'll allow the Helix mechs to start swarming the base" Ven continued, pointing out the two infiltration points. It was clear that he'd been putting a lot of thought into this attack.

"The Infiltration Team will infiltrate and deal with the relay station on the left side of the facility and destroy it with explosives while the primary Fireteam sets up explosives on the right side of the base to create an entrance for themselves and they'll attack from the right at the same time as the mechs attacking from the front. The infiltration team will then catch up and do the same, attacking from the left to keep the Syndicate forces off balance. After that, we'll begin clearing out all enemy forces and then regroup in the centre of the facility to spread out and look for Nazara."

Ven had made the plan very clear before standing up to return to the cockpit. It wouldn't be long before the dropped out of lightspeed and arrived at Therum. "Once we find him, don't underestimate Nazara. He's ex-military and definitely as dangerous as the contract has stated. I'll be leading the infiltration team. I need two more people to come with me so work that out on your own while I get us to the first drop point." He commanded. A team leader hadn't really been picked up until this point but Ven felt as though his tactical prowess and natural leadership skills made him more than up to the task.

With nothing else to say, Ven left the lounge and returned to the cockpit ready to take control of the ship again and get the mission started.

The plan was sound given their circumstances,Kaiyan looked at the other bounty hunters before lowering his horned head to the lounge table that still contained the slabs of meat the Ananaki feasted upon.

"I have prior infiltration training but not the tools for it,I shall join the team in contrast to yours mi'lor...*Hiss*...Er Sir." While infiltration was not his strong suit it was part of the Legionary training Varanus warriors recieved,he did indeed lack the equipment built for infiltration and knew his own weakness in this situation.

He was wary in the presence of the Mekra or as it calls itself the 'Freelancer' and the leader of this party who was a Almis but regardless Kaiyan will adhere and commit himself to completing the contract.

Perhaps he can finally buy a ship of his own with the money.

Kaiyan would stand awaiting the rest to make up their minds as he removed a spherical object from under his robe, tapped his right claw on it's smooth frame and caused it to lift from his hand and hover above his left shoulder, scanning the room and recording the briefing for review by Kaiyan in a post mission report......The D-Sphere would silently hum as it archives the data collected.

For the former Legate and knight of Ivetus some habits never die.

The Ananaki listened carefully to everyone. The talk about the Helix Virus appeared to make everyone nervous by the subtle changes in their voices and the uncomfortable shifting of feet. Now the Ananaki never encounter the Virus before, from the rumors they know that it only infects artificial intelligence. A fierce robotic force set upon destroying all sentient live. According to some maps that showed the spread, it appeared that it narrowly missed their home-planet so they weren't too worried for now.

Irkalla had other things to worry about...

They started to download the live feed to their PDA so they too could see the imaging while listening to the plan as they prepared.

Now both Ananaki were interested in the infiltration, especially Xa'ra. Before she could respond however Maq Ra'im did it for her as he was still chewing.

"I will help the ones that set the explosions, I'm not good with those devices but I can have your backs while you set them," he said as he glanced around at the crew, especially the reptilian Hunter.

Xa'ra quickly spoke up for her, "Then I will go with the infiltration team, I've done those missions before."

Ra'im smiled briefly, showing faith in his mate. She was small but not to be underestimated. Although neither Ananaki showed interest in leading the teams.

The mates stared at each other though when the captain explained the dangers of facing the cult leader, they doubted that a 'human' was going to be much trouble to handle for them...Besides they were actually thrilled to encounter the man and his entourage.

Which reminded Xa'ra of something....She pushed away her plate and gave Maq Ra'im a knowing look.

Altus listened to the plan but, he had his own ideas on what he would do. The Helix Mechs interested him and he knew that there would be quite a few valuables inside this base. He needed to work with them to get in but after that... " I'll be on the explosives team. It's my area of expertise and the rest of you don't look like you know the difference between c4 and a plasma charge.... well except maybe you tin man...." he glared at The Freelancer with the look that a long time veteran gives one of the same caliper. "You look able to play with a bomb or two... the rest of ya can do whatever Captain Bob... or was Jim.... whatever your name is said. If you are with me, don't slow me down, that's all I ask. Also, you failed to mention what the hell the exit plan is when the place is filled with Helix Mechs. You do realize letting them in will make us their targets when we finish our target right?"

The Freelancer looked down at Altus Reine as he addressed him. He was indeed planning to join the explosives team, but that would have caused both teams to become unbalanced. He instead chose the team opposite Ven's.

"My ship possesses vast armaments, including those suited for diversionary bombardment. I wil summon it the moment we have taken out the target and it shall provide us the cover and distraction needed to make our escape." He said to Altus Reine.

All in all, the Freelancer was determined to begin the mission as soon as possible. Nothing thrilled him as much as a mission did. He lived and thrived in what could be vaguely described as enjoyment of embarking on a mission. He didn't necessarily do it for the fame or even the rewards. It was perhaps a way of life that he had adopted. That life is meaningless and the universe is unkind. It was this philosophy of his that enabled him to carry out his missions to cold-hearted, apathetic perfection. He didn't let the emotions associated with any other abandoned philosophy get in his way, not anymore.

However, looking from bounty hunter to bounty hunter in the ship, he knew that the same couldn't be said for everyone else. However, he'd reserve judgement of each new member of the guild until the mission had begun, for prior expectations could also prove to be a hindrance in battle. And that was a handicap the Freelancer could not afford to weigh him down.

"We're about to exit lightspeed and head into the planet's atmosphere. Get ready now while we've got chance." Ven called out to the rest of the team from the cockpit. He had known all along that exiting lightspeed outside the planet's atmosphere would cause the bounty hunters to be quickly detected by the Syndicate, leading to the mission becoming much harder in the long run. They needed the element of surprise and this was the only way to maintain that advantage.

The Crusader exited lightspeed soon after, with the crew being able to now see a creepily beautiful red sky as the ship neared the first drop point, located to the right side of Syndicate's main facility.
"Okay! Freelancer, Kaiyan, Maq Ra'im. You're up. Make your way to the exit ramp and drop down to the surface. Altus, Xa'ra and I will send a signal once we're ready for you to blow your way into the facility." Ven commanded. It was time for the mission to begin.

With a heavy thud Kaiyan stood from the ground, the power armour absorbed most of the fall and the reptilian quickly took cover, making sure the area was secure.

Luckily the Syndicate was already kept busy by Helix as he heard gunfire and explosions to the west,Kaiyan loaded his M-2 rail-rifle and it cracked to life with plasma energy. The hood over his helm fluttered in the soft winds of Therum,he waited for the Freelancer and Maq Ra'im keeping his rifle aimed towards the empty walls of the Syndicate facility and their abandoned guard posts.

Kaiyan kept quiet and weary for any movement.

The Ananaki listen to the others as everyone stated which position and task they would take, familiarizing with one another.

Xa'ra had just put away the leftovers, which Maq didn't seem to appreciate... when Captain Almis alerted the crew of their arrival. Both Ananaki double checked their armors and weaponry while Almis breached the atmosphere along with everyone else.

Googles to protect their eyes and gain night vision access, half-mask on and activated as it filters the scents in the air, making it easier for them to differentiate odors and eliminate the crippling ones. Noone wants to walk in puke after all...Dual - Swords sheathed and ready for use, and their handguards tight and secured over their left hand and charged, ready for use.

Maq Ra'im took some time for his mate to help her adjust her armor a bit while reminding her to be careful.

Xa'ra rolled her eyes, "You be careful, Sand-Wolf..." She said as she joined Almis to review their task along with Altus.

Maq Ra'im frowned as the corners of his mouth pulled down with a small growl..."I am not sand-Wolf..." He muttered under his breath with a pout.

Joining The Freelancer and Kaiyan, he jumped down after the reptilian warrior. Landing with a heavy thud as he drew his swords and scanned the area for any hidden Bots or syndicate members. But it appears that the Captain was correct, the Syndicate was too busy fighting off Helix to even notice of their arrival.

He too could hear the gunfire and explosions, but when he scanned his surroundings he assured his comrades, "Clear," he said to them but as he strained his ears he could tell that it won't be long.

The syndicate might not have noticed them but Helix sure did....

Altus listens to Ven, noting that he had been ignored. He guessed that maybe Ven needed an explosive expert on each squad but, for now he didnt care too much. Pay was pay no matter where you have to earn it. He waited till the others made their way off the ramp and towards those objective before confronting Ven. "So you chose to send the Freelancer over me for the demo job huh? Any specific reason or you just trying to show me who.makes the decisions around here?" He waited a moment cor a awnser before shaking his head and grabbing his gear, getting ready to go. "Don't worry bout it. No skin off my back. Let's just get this over with so I can get paid." He got himself into position, waiting for the greenlight to move out forwards their objective.

The Freelancer was the last of his team to exit the ship, dropping down behind his two team members. Their objective was clear: as the primary fireteam, they were to set up explosives at the right side if the facility to create an entrance for themselves. Not the stealthiest infiltration he had conducted, but both Syndicate and Helix forces were on high-alert and engaged in battle. It'd be unlikely for them to catch anyone off guard now.

The Freelancer reached down and grabbed a sidearm attached to his hip. The weapon resembled a pistol of intricate and alien design and a long, wide barrel.
"This side of the facility is clear, although we may expect Helix resistance soon. Let's move in quickly and plant the explosives." He said to Kaiyan and Maq Ra'im. He then brought his weapon to aim and took off quickly towards the right side of the facility, making sure to steer clear of stray fire and enemy sightlines.
