Stealth is impossible with this blade, as the runes glow bright, especially when near demons.
The energy given off by the runes makes the blade, and therefore it's carrier, easily detectible through magic sensing.

Originally forged by The Judge of Oblivion and wielded as a means of executing sentenced demons, it was handed to Dan after he survived the purging over his own demon and took up the oath of a Demon Hunter. The blade is long and made of silver, with orange runes etched all along. These allow the blade to channel elemental magic, and give it a magical aura itself. Silver alone is powerful against Lycanthropes, but the enchanted properties of this blade makes it just as dangerous to demons. After Dan's death on Mytheria the blade was given to his daughter Jaya.
