The dropship pilots readied themselves and their respective ships,whilst the orbiters equipped their armour and weapons it the armory....After seven minutes the Orbiter squad entered the hangar bay exiting the door that led to the armory.

Five well armed and power-armoured Varanidae marines entered the C-3 Dropship,taking their seats and activating the magnetic locks to keep them from floating out if the ship when they traverse in space.The dropship shook as it began to ascend from the metallic hangar floor.After hovering for several seconds the rear engines moved to 180 degrees sending the dropship forward as it exited the hangar bay.

Soon everything felt light for the Orbiter squad....It wasn't an new feeling of course..But no matter how much you train or experience it the sudden loss of gravity always surprises some.

The dropship circled the freighter,located the hangar bay and began it's docking procedure,the ship's artifical gravity systems were offline in the hangar it seemed,so the orbiters would have to engage their boot's magnetic locks in order to traverse outside the ship's unsealed hangar bay.

The orbiter squad would slowly progress into the ship,the entire ship's artificial gravity seemed to be disabled making the mission tedious and long.As the squad slowly progressed deeper into the ship they realized it was stripped bare,everything except the walls were removed with only their markings indicating that it was once there.

This information troubled the Commodore who immediately ordered that the squad make their way back to his ship.

The orbiter squad formed an column and began trekking their way back to the dropship,their metallic boots pounding with each magnetic step on the ship's floor.The orbiter squad barely touched the dropship when the Commodore sounded the alarm.

The small Imperial fleet's sensors picked up energy signatures that could only mean ships warping to their location.Without delay the Commodore ordered that the fleet take combat positions and power their impact shielding for potential combat.

It was then that several pirate ships appeared,the Imperial ships identified it as 3 unidentified cruiser-class ships bearing unknown arms.The ships appeared to be human in origin and made of an grey metal.While the pirates were 21 Kilometers away well out of weapon range,the Commodore messaged the pirate ships.

"Attention unidentified craft,you are interfering with Imperial business....Identify yourselves and your purpose." As the Commodore awaited the reply of the pirates he ordered that the small fleet take defensive formations.

"Attention all Imperial craft this is Commodore Luu'Far take offensive Vee formation behind my ship all Ma'gel Cruisers focus fire on the smallest craft and any fighters that may appear.The firepower of our frigate should take care of this rabble."

The Imperial ships responded as flying slowly into an Vee formation behind the Commodore as they slowly approached the distant pirate fleet,the Imperial ships rerouted power from the non-essential systems to fortify the high impact shielding.

"Keep steady and maintain course towards the unidentified fleet,once within weapon range hold position and await further orders." The Commodore relayed his command to the other ships in his small fleet.

Soon enough the pirates opened communication as they slowly approached the Imperial ships.

"Alright....Surrender your ships and any loot or we "Morgan Boys" will have to take it...."

Pirates....If there is anything more deplorable for the Armada it would be pirates.The Admiral hoped it would have been an more interesting foe but this rabble would have to do.

"This is your FINAL warning divert course and exit the system or we will be forced to take action."

The pirates ignored the order and continued their path towards the Imperial fleet.So began the first battle of the Vu'ury Class in the Milky Way galaxy.

The Vu'ury Class reduced it's speed and began to power it's weapon systems,the crew aboard worked with utmost efficiency not diverting their focus from the task at hand.

The gunnery masters tapped on the holographic consoles that controlled their respective weapon,nobody but the Commodore would walk across the bridge as he inspected the crew's work until he heard the words....

"Systems ready......Enemy vessels within Higra range...."

The Commodore nodded...."All guns within range fire on my command." He waited as he watched the holographic map in the middle of the bridge that showed an tactical representation of the battlefield. He had to wait for the formation to line up perfectly to maximize the initial burst of fire the Imperial ships would release.

Within seconds the formation lined up,the Commodore turned his horned head from the map and roared. "FIRE!"

The shock of the heavy Higra railguns could slightly be felt in the bridge as the Commodore watched the powerful 100 meter explosive "bullet" shoot it's way across space and within 4 seconds crushed into the hull of the vanguard pirate ship tearing away at the metallic hull creating an blazing inferno immediately snuffed by the oxygen-less vast void of space. "Cap't the hull was breached....We must abandon ship." The pirate captain turned his scruffy bearded face towards his first mate. "What! We barely touched them.....I'm not going to just run away without an prize!"

The Vu'ury class prepared it's second salvo firing with all it's railguns as it came into range cutting through the armoured pirate cruiser before the pirate crew could react. "Capt'! We need to....." The pirate ship was cut in half as one of the railgun rounds cut through the hull and pierced the fusion core of the ship creating an explosion that destroyed the framework of the hull.

"Primary target destroyed switching to secondary targets..." The gunnery masters would say as they calibrated their weapons rotating it towards the remaining pirate ships.
