Automated Cargo Containers: Special detachable cargo containers that are connected to the Shonin-Class Freighter via magnetic lock and boasts an atmospheric seal for access during mid-flight. There is a small radar based sensor system and light thrusters so that the container may be piloted to a small degree from another ship with the right connection codes. The ship can carry a total of twenty four of these containers

Docking bay for a pair of cargo tugs capable of carrying up to four containers each. Cargo Tugs are used for transporting cargo to stations and through atmosphere.

Description

As Clan Kyodain expanded its trade network throughout outer rim space, Even creating routes networks as far as Black Garden within the inner worlds sector, they realized that converting their warships into cargo carriers was inefficient given the magnitude of their ever expanding trade network and territory. In response, they constructed a brand new fleet of cargo freighters from the ground up and de converted their former freighter fleet into military ships again. None of the freighters were constructed for combat duties, all armaments are meant purely for defensive purposes and, at most, will only be able to fend off minor pirate raids. The ship makes up for this weakness with improved engines and shielding based around an enlarged fusion reactor.
